I still don't have a 3d printer though I ended up buying a raspberry pi and made a robot It serves up a node js server listening for webservice calls on my local network. I ordered and never got my printer. They replied to an email 3 weeks ago that said they shipped it, but i have yet to see anything. I went ahead and reported the transaction to my credit card provider. I should get the money back no problem. Should the printer happen to show up and not be missing anything then I will contact my provider and let the transaction stay.

Sorry dude. I'm still waiting on a tracking number. Who knows if the printer actually is on its way to me. I hope they didn't just change the status to appease me. It's tempting to start my own 3d printer kit distribution. The $400 price point seems to be a sweet spot. I'd just sell the kits so i don't need to assemble anything. I suppose i should build mine first though

Neybordave... Assuming you paid with credit card you may have a quicker response by taking it up with them. I've had to use that a couple times and visa will credit you the money back and they will go to battle for you. Probably easier than small claims. Just a suggestion. As long as i get a working 3d printer i don't really mind the wait. I REALLY hope they get all the parts in the box.

Status has changed to shipped! Sooo happy. I can't wait for it to show up. I hope i'm not missing any parts:/ erikn did yours come with a bill of materials that listed each part that was supposed to be present? Sheesh if there's such a high demand, i should get into the business. It shouldn't be that hard to ship out a kit if you have all your part suppliers lined up.

daboomafoo out of curiosity what order # were you? I am #9. I tried calling, but just got a voicemail that said to email. I haven't heard back yet. Its been about 45 days and still not even a shipping number. I'm getting impatient.

Thanks daboomafoo. That's encouraging. I will try to call today. Was assembly pretty easy? I've never had one and am a SW guy not HW. I can't imagine it being that hard though. Let me know if you have any filament recommendations. Do you have any construction tips? Did it have sufficient directions?

Emailed a second time and got a response. Hopefully they follow through and respond tomorrow. I'll cut them some slack. As long as i get a shipment tracking number within the week i won't scream too loud. Well i ordered one so i guess i'll do a review. I like the diytech products and they seem affiliated. Just would be nice to know how long my wait time is going to be and some previous experience in case i run into troubles. I suppose someone has to be first though. Will post once i receive shipment. Its been "In production" for 10 days as of now.

DIYtech recently started selling Xssink Boxd 3d printers. I couldn't find any reviews on them at all. I like the design but I'm hoping someone has some experience to share about whether or not these are decent? I'm thinking about going with the 8x8x8 as my first hobby printer. Construction looks easy enough, and i like the core x/y design. Anyone have any reviews?

I am purchasing a diytech prusa i3x in the next two weeks and i need a psu for it. Can anyone recommend a website vendor for a solid psu. I don't really want a cheapo ebay one. I'm hoping for one in the $30-$60 range. Is there a standard one most people use?
