Hi Yes I have T5. Send me an email to stephengeorge74 (at) hotmail (dot) com or a private email on this site. I need to know how much you want. (I.e in Meters or what system you are building) and your address (for postal costs). Can have it in the post by Friday if you email me today or tomorrow. regards Stephenby stephen george - Vitamin Kit for Sale
Hi Ivan Yes and I have just sent you a private email. regards Stephenby stephen george - Vitamin Kit for Sale
yes I do have T5. Please send me a private email telling me how much you want and your address. If you could tell me what system you are building that would be great. regards Stephenby stephen george - Vitamin Kit for Sale
Hi I have replied to your private mail box. Postage & packing is $5 at the moment. regards Stephenby stephen george - Vitamin Kit for Sale

Hi m100 >Next time I have a belt to split I'll take some photos and update the wiki Thanks And good luck with the build. Stephen P.s. How much did you spend on the belts?by stephen george - General Mendel Topics
Hi m100 You said: > I just left the blade in a properly designed handle and cut my belts in literally minutes with the jig sat on my kitchen worktop, one hand holding the jig and blade, the other pulling the belt through. I glad you found it so easy. Other people have had issues where the metal "ribs" have been more of a spiral than a circle and so they were unable to cut them perfectly. Hi noobcake You said I ripped apart my makerbot and started on my repstrap already Why? I wpuld have thought a backup system would be a good idea. I cant count the amount of times I have broken my 3d printer and needed a plastic part to repair it. Any way. Good luck noobcake. Stephenby stephen george - General

cluso99 said Regarding your head crashes, I would expect the software to prevent such a thing??? The head (in this case) should always move upwards, and any attempt to move downwards should be prompted for permission??? My reply Your reply make complete and obvious sense and I wish it was so. But it's a little more complex than that. My old extruder had a 0.5mm hole and laid down an extrusionby stephen george - General
Hi I look forward to seeing your design. Having a fixed extruder does indeed solve alot of problems. However most of my problems are caused by head crashes into cold plastic with the subsequent PTFE failure. I have observed that ideas are a dime a dozen here. Actually testing ideas is much more rare. So I would advise you to get your idea on paper. Build it. Then show the comunity. My reprap iby stephen george - General
H Araspitfire said But I"m pretty confident that I could use mine as a jack-stand to hold up my car... My reply. I am not so sure yours could jack up a car but it sure does looks good. You must be very proud. I am green with envy. Well done. cluso99 said What motors are each of you using? Nema 17 or 23? Torque? Max Current & Resistance? Hi I have uploaded an out of date picture on this message. If you are interested in the latest version I can upload it. I think the advantage of my repstrap is it is easy to build since most of it is MDF and is as stable as a rock so should be able to handle a mill tool. Once I have added the mill bit it will graduate from a repstrap to a reprap as it will be able to cut MDF to create itself.by stephen george - General
Cefiar said >Yeah, any place that sells trade over the counter, you most likely want to look the part, and know the terminology so you can walk in and be treated with respect. Even a safety vest is enough in most cases to look the part. Agreed. I made sure I knew exactly what metal I was getting. which was 1214 grade Bright Mild Steel which I can put in my lathe. Answering the original question about the biggest userable space. My current repstrap is 400mm x 300mm with 200mm deep However probably not the most space efficent at a total size of 800mm x 600mm x 450mm and possibly the only reprap in the world which you can sit on without it breaking. Hi I have a different solution. Note: I have not locked my firmware to a minimum of 0,0,0 I have a little program called r_offset which I run before sending the main g_code from skeinforge. This puts the extruder bang in the middle of the board. And then resets the position so its 0,0 All done via g-code. Probably could just put it in the header of the main g-code. Anyway Perfect print and yby stephen george - Skeinforge
Thanks Cefiar for the info. I use the following www.interlloy.com.au - Australia wide - Very helpful and very cheap. Did you do a full compile and Render - you pressed F6 or Menu /design / compile an render or a compile - you pressed F5 or Menu /design /compile? Note a compile is good to see what is going on and is quick but uses a green area to show removed section a render is slow but shows you the final product. regards Stephenby stephen george - General

Hi Arvin said > Aluminium tube is pretty expensive. I can get 3 Metres of Aluminium tube for $A16 retail. It's easy to cut and drill but I see no problems with using Steel if it is cheap. Steel is probably a better material in the long run as I suspect it is more rigid. Arvin said >Does the thin plastic keep enough of the warmth in your green house? Yes. It works by trapping the hot airby stephen george - General
Hi Here are the details of my reprap green house. (which doubles as a real green house for seedlings) Picture 1 is a picture of the prototype to test my build idea.It shows a cube made out of 16mm round aluminium tube with reprap built parts holding the structure together. The two bits of plastic to the side are the reprap built parts. They fit together to form a three node joint. Note theyby stephen george - General
Yes I did solve the issue. Basically I was making "inteligent" desisions in the configuration. For example I only have one extruder so I setup the system to be 1 extruder not the 3 which is the default. This was the wrong way to proceed. Anyway the solution was to wipe the whole setup. Reinstall and and do a dummy run using the defaults. (i.e. Send gcode to a file rather than reprap). When thby stephen george - RepRap Host
Hi I built a heated room too. Mainly because it's winter here and with the room temperature being below 20C results in god awful prints in ABS. Bringing the temperature up to 35C - 50C helped considerably with warping. The parts just look better. I repraped most parts for the frame. If anyone is intersted I can upload Pictures and STL object files. regards Stephen Georgeby stephen george - General

Hi >Ecir Hana You said Reading the specs, there it says that the belts need to be 5 mm wide. But I only seem to get 6 mm belts. >My reply I supply the mendel belts as per the Mendel specification. I.e. At the correct width with no belt splicing. For a Mendel belt kit the price is $A35 (about $USD30) +P&P or For 5 Meters of uncut belt the price is $A25 (about $USD21.25) + P&Pby stephen george - General Mendel Topics
