Hey Gang, I am new to reprap builds and i have finished a Kossel mini with an e3d and wades extruder RAMPs 1.4 and im not sure how to get the Marlin version. It technically prints but very sloppy. It looks like it is too high from the print surface on 2 sides of the print bed so i have been trying to level it so i can print out some auto level probe parts. But my printer doesnt have M66 or M665by b3nnb - Delta Machines
I did the math and its pretty accurate to the amount steps per mm, i think i only had to correct it slightly from the prebuilt config file.but thats just the math to how many stpes is equal to 100mm i think the speed is the issue so im trying to find the speed, starting low and moving up. Thanks for the article!! its a great guide!by b3nnb - Reprappers
So I've been playing with that for hours and slowing things down has improved the extrusion a little bit. At this point it gets a couple layers into the raft and then jams. And I think I know what's going on. Every time it jams, I pull the tension bearing from the gear cover and the filament is always folded over itself on the side. The tension bolt is off to the side. So I think there is an anglby b3nnb - Reprappers
Ya, I was asking the seller about the speed. Is there a recommended setting for the speed? And is that in the config.h file or merlin_main.CPP?by b3nnb - Reprappers
AndrewBCN The second I get this to start ringing I will print the parts for that extruder gear.by b3nnb - Reprappers
Hey Doug, I'm new to the printing world but do you have a link for what you are referring? I'm pretty sure this one is geared though. There's an added housing for gears on the axle.by b3nnb - Reprappers
And the gear seems pretty high quality. Here are some pic .by b3nnb - Reprappers
Ya. I tested all that. I unhooked the feed hose and pushed a piece of filament through with no effort and it extruded. I took it apart anyway and see no obstructions either. Ialso manually fed the filament through but at a slower speed and it would extrude a bit before jamming in the gear.by b3nnb - Reprappers
Hey ladies and gents. I just finished a kissel mini build and everything except for the extruder motor seems perfect. Wondering if anyone has a solution or an alternative system they prefer. I have the printed part that presses a bearing against a gea . But once the length of the feed tub is fed with filament. The filament stops feedin . I have tried adjusting the tension to no avail. Ok, so im making progress! bigfilsing, im not sure the type, its an allen key that sits on and endstop in the print head. unnokeng I tried the Z_MAX_ENDSTOP_INVERTING bit it caused g28 not to work on one of the towers, so i changed Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING and it worked, you guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!by b3nnb - Reprappers
Hey ladies and gents, Im new to 3d printing as all of you once were, and im having an issue with my autolevel probe setup. I have a RAMPs 1.4 running a Kossel Mini. everything is setup and technically works. Although, When i run the G29 it tries to level itself about 3 inches above the actual plate, so it never reaches. it even has to go to my coordinates that are below what it thinks it is levby b3nnb - Reprappers
