im running the ramps and want to get 1/32 microstepping. how would i do such things. I already have the drivers. do i need to remove one of the jumpers on the ramps and if so which side should i pull it from or does it matter?by Cbrowder22 - General
you also had what looked like pin touching where you connect the lcd..tighten up the wires and make sure nothing is touching..prob is a clone.. true Arduino are made in Italy and have it in the left corner..i burnt mine the first time I powered up and went and bought a true Arduino from radio shackby Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
I do have a dvm...I have a .2 volt loss from the ramps board to the heated bed..I'm currently using 16 gauge wire and I was going to drop it to 12 gauge this evening.. The bed I have is an mk2b (I think that's correct) and its either 12 or 24v...now as for the other stuff you wrote about...seems too far fetched for me to achieve without a little bit more of a description..by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
@tim...im going to have to disagree with you..voltage does not equal amperage or vice versa...although I will do my best to check that..what should the amperage be?by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
I'm maxing out at 103 c with cork insulation under the bed.. settings in marlin are maxed out from my understanding and research (but I could be wrong)..by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
both of that is done..i have 12.2v at the bed on ..by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
how can I get the temp higher for this bed.. is there something I need to update in the firmware..using most up to date marlin. and curaby Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
so if youre under extruding then wouldn't you go into your firmware and recalculate your steps for the extruder? Are you sure they are correct? Check twice pour once type of thing!!! I had a similar issue and this resolved it!!! it also saved me some money cause I was leaning towards buying a new hot end too!!! What kind of printer do you have?by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
I figured it out..All is working and now I'm a happy camper!!!!! I ended up updating marlin from the (old) one folger is using.. It also ended up being a contrast issue...I appreciate everyones help here!!!!!!by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
so I started with a fresh marlin version directly from folger tech website... still solid blue screen but the beeping works when I depress the button..still no graphics..does this helpby Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
I've tried the contrast adjustment knob and goes from bright blue to dark blue...its a solid blue screen all the time..I'll post pics of it too later..I'm currently at work...if it helps I bought the screen from Folger tech...by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
how can i tell if they are backwards..ive switched the connectors and i get a light either way although when they are connected "correctly" the blue screen is dimmer. Btw i had a 2004 controller that worked..The only reason i change is because the knob would not let me switch through the prompts.by Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
Rotate the connectors??? They are supposed tononoy go in one way...do I cut that notch off or something...obviously I would check everything else first...much appreciatedby Cbrowder22 - Reprappers
i have a solid blue screen on my 12864 full graphics controller lcd...ive reloaded firmware ive downloaded marlin from somewhere on the forum that was supposed to run but didn't...i have a folger tech prusa i3 2020..im getting sick of this thing and trying to get everything to work correctly.
