I got continuity on both cables. I'll see how using a different cable works though. My contrast potentiometer goes from 0 to 2.5Kohm. Is that normal for the LCD?by dmelcer9 - Reprappers

Looks almost the same as mine, except your pins are labeled and the Website URL is a bit different. Probably from the same Chinese knockoff manufacturer with ...questionable QC.by dmelcer9 - Reprappers

The ramps is plugged into the computer by USB, and using the 5A/11A ports on the ramps board. It doesn't work no matter the configuration of the power.by dmelcer9 - Reprappers

D16 goes to pin 4 D23 goes to pin 6 D17 goes to pin 5 I tried reversing the two in firmware but it still didn't display anything. Should I try with an older version of arduino (I'm currently on 1.6.7)? 1-2 has 5V 19 goes from 0V to about 3.3V Edit: Neither 1.6.0 nor 1.0.6 helps either. I updated to RC3 but that still didn't help. I tested all the other pins, and they are how they're supposedby dmelcer9 - Reprappers

Yeah, I think there's an electrical problem. There were a few places where the continuity didn't match the diagram, and I can't access many the traces because my lcd is soldered on.by dmelcer9 - Reprappers

Haven't gotten a chance yet- got some deadlines this week so the printer was put on the backburner. I'll try Friday or over the weekend.by dmelcer9 - Reprappers

Forgot to mention, I also switched the wires, but it didn't work. I'll try the pins with a continuity tester as @kerkove suggests, and post the results here.by dmelcer9 - Reprappers

I plugged in a Graphic Smart Controller, and the screen lights up, but stays blank. The click encoder and speaker work (it beeps when I click the encoder), and the kill button stops the printer as expected. Also, the SD slot lists files correctly in Repetier host.
