dmelcer9, Any progress? I know its bloody agitating when one solution for one, doesn't work for you, despite the similar symptoms - did you get a replacement? Any luck with different cables? I used a break out cable/jumper cable solution to pinpoint the issue for me. But maybe it is a bad unit after all...?by Tactless - Reprappers
Got it working. Bloody thing. Turns out the FGSC is GTG after all! However the supplied cables are poop. Somehow I could get good continuity (tested with a recently calibrated Fluke 189) through them but I suspect that they had a break or a loose pin on the connector or something like that. I replaced them with some I made myself and bingo. Lights up and has data displayed.by Tactless - Reprappers
I should mention I have tried this in V1.1 RC3, and V1.0.x V1.0.x does make the piezo louder... but, that is all.by Tactless - Reprappers
One minor step in the right direction. I followed the instructions at the bottom of this page, - specifically the part about the pot (already had the through pin it speaks about in there). So I removed the 470R I had put up on those holes, removed the original POT, and replaced it. Now I can at least change the contrast... On my blank display... Which, is still, you guessed it. Blank. Quotedmelcer9 I think I may have simply gotten a lemon LCD *shrug* I have exactly, and I mean *EXACTLY* the same issues. I have gone through and checked all continuity, voltage is good, current good. But.... alas, there is nothing on the display other than the pretty blue light. Doesn't matter what I have tried in the firmware, all ever does is is light up, allow SD and the piezo to chirp when yby Tactless - Reprappers
