I only run the nozzle on the ramps. I simply use a relay (With a diode offcoarse) to let power through to the heat bed. The relay is easily accessible and can be replaced in a minute. This way my head bed gets raw power directly from the PSU. No transistors that steal heat away from the heatbed.by Techtinker - Reprappers
It's always helpful to someone who would like to assist when you make the configuration.h file available. But reading the error message it means that the bed size for X or Y is bigger than the max position. By default Marlin sets the X_MAX_POS equal to the X_BED_SIZE and obviously the same for the Y-Axis Below is my code, see the parts in red. // The size of the print bed #define X_BED_SIZEby Techtinker - Reprappers
Its the bugfix 1.1.x (cutting edge) version. Just from their website. Direct link Cheersby Techtinker - Reprappers
I'm using NEMA-17 42BYGHW609 motors. Measuring the Z-Axis wasn't so hard after all. Using a ruler with a square edge on the home position the lip of the edge of the Xmotor was exactly 190mm, So I could use that as reference. So tonight I will revert back to the original issue as stated in the OP. Who knows maybe the problem went away.by Techtinker - Reprappers
Uhmmm! my problem is bigger than this Being the noob that I am with this, I realized that not all steppers are the same and needs to be calibrated. I never touched the following and left it on the defaults. #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 80, 80, 4000, 500 } I now measured the travel distance and it was traveling half of what the LCD displayed. And I have a feeling the Z axis is traveby Techtinker - Reprappers
In future if someone else has this issue. Also check the nuts of your bed leveling kit , sometimes they slightly rub on the frame , but is still able to go past. I filed my frame down by about 2mm for the hex bolt to pass without touching.by Techtinker - Reprappers
Thanks People. Going to try set the #define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER setting tonight and see what happensby Techtinker - Reprappers
Hey All! Today I finished building my Prusa i3 MK2s , I built it from scratch using my ANET A6 and parts from my local 3d printer part supplier. Only thing left to do is configure marlin correctly. I have a weird problem, I tried searching but I keep running in to threads where other people have the same issue but they are using ABL. And all solutions point to fiddling with ABL settings.
