I am sorry I seem to have lost a decimal point in my typing, it is Arduino 1.8.19 which is the latest out there that I know of.Down loading Marlin 2.1 in a zip file, extracting it and opening Marlin and then Arduino.ino file to access Arduino configuration,h file and going from there to build a file and upload it to the board. Then hope it all works, of which it is not. Seems to be a problem thby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
Yes I have. Seems I have trouble opening the file in VS Studio and having it give me the check mark and the Arrow at the bottom of the screen. I wind up with just a house at the bottom. This latest post which I have changed it in the heading to Printer will not Home needing for Help (Per Requests from more than one person) was done in VS Studio. How I managed that I still don't know. This wby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
I must apologize as I forgot to attach my files of which I will do now. Also this was done using VS Studio and had a success at the end of the build.by Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
Gentlemen, I answered my own question about the Mega 2560 board and that is NO! I purchased a new Mega 2560 plugged it in and reloaded the the arduino.ino and that Wasn't the problem. Let me reiterate that the X axis stop is on the right hand side as you look at the printer and the limit switch is plugged into the X axis Max on the ramps 1.4. The Y axis stop is in the front of the printer on thby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
Posting a new link labeled as Printer will not Home needing help. I was able to get a 11 second video up loaded to youtube. Here is the link: Hope this helpsby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
This is a new posting of a problem that I started by saying Help Needed. I have worked this down to where a gentleman by the nave of Dust has been helping me. He asked for a video of my problem of which I never have done. I recorded a 33 sec video but it was to large for me to transfer to email. So now I have a 11 second video that I was able to create in a YouTube short viewing. I am tryinby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
I tried to send the 11 sec video and it was almost 17 meg. So it was to big. The picture of the board showing the stops being plugged in was also to big to attach. I did double check both axis in x and y to make sure they were plugged onto the correct pins on the board. Not like the one in 2017. I am curious as to what it is, and I am leaning toward the Arduino Mega 2560. Reason for this iby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
Dust, I have tried every thing I can think of and I have to admit defeat. I was using your response to indians010 dated in December of 2017. The ? 4,801062. So I think I followed every thing you had said. I had to do this thru arduino1.18. It compiles well but when I tell it to home any axis z raises like it should and the screen go to flashing and you cannot do anything but shut it off. Whby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
This is just for information to other new users. I had part of a reply from A gentleman who claimed to be a Newbie just like me. I followed some of the suggestions that were afforded him, but I only printed 2 pages. As it is turning out I think I needed all 8 pages but did not know how to get back to that post which was in December 16 of 2017. Your system is fantastic, I looked on the top righby Ndv19 - Reprappers
Thank You for your help. I have another problem now as this I3 Clone or RepRap will not home on the X and Y axis. Have the screen that says to home but when I press the selection the screen just starts blinking in either one of the axis. I found a print out I had made from some one back in December 16,17 of 2017. I printed 3 pages but now I think I should have printed all 8. The Title was Newby Ndv19 - Reprappers
Thank you for your response. I have managed to resolve most of my issues so far. The on that has me stumped is trying to home the axis. I can move any direction, and when it loads up now the axis are saying "0" for their settings which is good. When I tell it to home "X" or "Y" , "Z" axis raises like it should and the screen just sits there and blinks in the blue field. There is no movementby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
I have a kinda sorta RepRap 3d printer I think. It is running Marlin 2.1 with a Arduino 2560 and Ramps 1.4. Also has the 12864 Display along with bltouch.. The software will load, but in so doing it is setting x,y,z, axis to 200 at initial settings. I is avoiding the location settings of Zero. when give the command from the display to move 10mm it does so just fine. When you select home inby Ndv19 - Firmware - Marlin
There was a gentleman who was helping me with this issue and I cannot find the emails we had, so I must say I am sorry to have to ask the same question as before. I have Marlin 2.1 compiled and loads through the com port just fine. Problem is there is no display on the LCD screen where you would make the choices. This is a Arduino mega 2560 with the ramps 1.4 installed. There is a couple of thby Ndv19 - Reprappers
You kind Sir are a Gentleman and a Scholar until you are better paid. i thank you so much. I had read that is where it had to be and so I continued with it. Had the RepRapD1scount Smart Controller display onit and I didn't like it so I bought the 12864 and reconfigured the hole for the mounting of it. I was very frustrated when I couldn't make it work. I have never posted on this site, I have always read and found most of my answers. Problem is now I cannot find the answer. I have a Arduino mega 2560 with the ramps 1.4 installed. Using Marlin 2.1 and changing the line in the code to read "#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER" along with my other changes BL Touch,Bilinear leveling, etc. Problem is firmware compiles fine andby Ndv19 - General
I have the files that are updated. Arduino 1.8.15 and Marlin 2.0.x. When I plug the USB cable into the 2560 board, the screen just shows white squares. What do I do from here. Do I down load a boot loader? Is the SD card in or out?by Ndv19 - Prusa i3 and variants
I plugged every thing together and plugged the USB cord into the computer and I had no display on the RepRapD1 scount Smart Controller. Should I see something or load Arduino 1.8.15 first? Not sure how to proceed. Help Pleaseby Ndv19 - Reprappers
I have located the files, I wasn't aware that anyone had responded to my question. Now I am asking do I load the Arduino and Marlin onto the Arduino 560 and then place the 1.4 drivers into the board? There is no directions for that application. Then where do I get a test print from? Thank you in advance hope I get notified of any replies Butchby Ndv19 - Prusa i3 and variants
Have a Rep Rap Clone I believe. Uses Arduino 2560 and the 1.4 bit for the stepper motors I believe. Can I load the Arduino on to the 2560 board lone and then the Marlin 2.0? After that place the top board with the chips on to the Arduino? Or do I have to have every thing put together first? Forgot to tell everyone how to get in touch.by Ndv19 - Reprappers
