If cost is the primary constraint, you should maybe go for a repstrap of some sort - it will need more work on your side but can be made mostly out of salvaged or cheap materials. Maybe start by building the frame, jcabrer's ongoing project seems a candidate for you there.by DeuxVis - Plastic RepRap Parts for Sale

Do you have - or can you borrow - a multimeter ? If so, what is the current reported for that motor ? I have myself adjusted the pot to get between 0.45 and 0.5 A on one phase, and get motor temp around 45 to 50 °C after half an hour of idleness - but maybe our motors are different, that's for a Huxley. EDIT after reading the blog : ah c'est sympa un peu d'infos en français sur les reprapby DeuxVis - Controllers
Another idea, you might want to go to this ebay seller page for : - Getting an idea of what motors reprapers buy and what is a fair bargain on those. - Or maybe just contact him and sell your whole batch of steppers to that guy so he handles the tedious testing and detailed sale ?by DeuxVis - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
I think all the kind of stuff you listed could be used in some little quantities by developers / hackers/ repstrapers. The item that we may need in larger packs - all reprap machines need some - are the steppers and the travel rods. The currently popular models use 4 or 5 (similar is better) NEMA 17 motors - see the minimum specs on that wiki page. EDIT that page is slightly outdated, sorry.
I'm building a techzone huxley myself currently. Havent tried moving axis with motors yet, actually one of my very next steps. Did you set up some appropriate motor current level by turning the trimpots as recommended in the Monotronics assembly instructions ? Too few current might be the problem. I recommend using a multimeter, the temperature trick seems a bit too unprecise IMO. Another ideaby DeuxVis - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Tu l'as commandée chez qui ? Techzone ? J'arrive bientôt vers le fin du montage de la mienne. Pas mal de problèmes à résoudre en cours de route avec la version techzone...by DeuxVis - RepRap Groupe d'Utilisateurs Francophone
There's a model of the fully built prusa mendel in its visual build instruction manual. The source for the (sketchup ?) model is on github - you can probably export it to stl in sketchup if you really need.by DeuxVis - General Mendel Topics

I totally agree on owism8 being right to publish his feeling and experience about the product he bought - other potential users deserves the information return before making their choice. Don't get me wrong, I don't defend techzone - the way they describe their product as a full working kit is far from accurate in my opinion too. You should list more details about your plastic Mendel parts : What material they are made of ? What machine did you print it on (or what other technology was used to produce those) ? Which variation of Mendel are they for ? Photos would also be nice, and an idea of the price you expect too. I think the cable (bowden tube) is too tight on the filament in techzone kits. I've bought a 3.2 mm inner diameter one for replacement. Not tested yet.by DeuxVis - Huxley
I also am a lil bit disappointed about the techzone huxley kit, I will post a sum up once I got it fully built - that is if I can. Question : wasn't the inner size of the bowden ptfe cable provided by techzone a problem for you ? Myself got one with inner diameter being exactly 3 mm, while the filament you can find around - and even the one they provide - have a diameter which is variating sligby DeuxVis - General

No offense, but... posting this kind of reply when you are a "registered yesterday - one post" user is doing more harm than good to the seller IMO. People might think he is trying to get fake good feedback using duplicate/friends accounts, etc. Would be far better if you could post some selfmade photos/videos of your setup of the product , etc, anything that could backup your claims. La traduction, ok, c'est une très bonne initiative, je suis preneur (et même prêt à être développeur quand mon temps me le permet). It would probably help to give us more details. What's your OS, how is the board plugged to your comp., etc. I personally have a monolithic board from techzone (huxley kit) and have been able to talk to it with repsnapper as soon it was plugged in (using linux ubuntu there).by DeuxVis - Controllers
