I have been thinking that it'd be useful to have an additional forum in the "RepRap Marketplace and Job Shop" section: Feedback. I try to post feedback in the threads where things are being sold if I've bought from the maker, but it would be much nicer to have a unified place for such things. Users could then search that forum by name or username to see what others' experiences have been with

Got my extruder kit from Brandon today. The quality of the parts is very good overall. The large gear does have some slight curling but nothing that affects its operation from what I can see. It would appear that these parts were printed on a heated bed, which is nice. Overall, very happy with the transaction. Thanks Brandon!

Hot bluing smooth rods - 15 years ago

The rods I have are unplated mild steel, and though keeping them oiled provides a reasonable level of protection, I was considering some options on surface finishes. Anyone interested in Stepper Driver 2.3 boards? - 15 years ago

These are pretty much impossible to find from the usual online places, so I'm probably going to send the design out to a PCB fab to have some made. I'm waiting to hear back from one other retailer, if they don't have any then I'm placing the order. Would anyone be interested in buying some of these boards, since I'll have plenty? I'd probably do $10/ea shipped via parcel post to the US. Overs

Well, this hardware kit arrived today and I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Transaction was smooth, and Dwayne shipped it quickly. He was very helpful via email as well. I was happy to see that the kit arrived in a very heavy cardboard tube, to protect the bar stock and threaded rod from UPS's efforts to deform it. On the topic of processor, would I be out of line to suggest the mbed board? It has an LPC1768 (Cortex M3) at 100MHz for $60. Pretty inexpensive for such a beast if you ask me. Yes, some people see the online IDE as a negative - but you can easily develop in the usual offline way (gcc, et cetera) if you wish. Plus, it may actually make firmware development more accessible since folks wouldn't
