Well, this is my first 3d printer, but I got her fired up today and Pronterface I manually raised the upper part of the Z axis to about an 30mm from the top of rods. Seemed stable to me, but I won't be sure till I print some thing. Now I'm going to go hunt up some tutorials on how to set up the software and the printer because I'm clueless now. Just for the record. You DO need to swap the servo - and +. It's pretty easy to do. I just used a pin to pry the catch up on the connector, and slid the crimped pins out. Then slid them back into the connector in the correct locations.by madmike8 - Smart_Rap
Sorry, but no prints yet, I've just got mine put together. Since this is my first printer it's taking me a bit longer to learn the software. I got Marlin loaded on to the Mega tonight and looked into slic3r... Hopefully I'll have something for you soon. Just for the info, I'm using a Turnigy TGY-1370A 3.7g servo that's $2.88 from Hobbyking USA warehouse and it fits nice and tight. I cut all myby madmike8 - Smart_Rap
I'm wiring up my smartrap now but I have a question on the servo wiring. Attached is the photo from the github documentation on wiring. Where it saying to plug in the servo is S,-,+ like an airtronics servo, but the normal JR/Futaba servos are S,+,- is what I have. i assume i need to swap the servo wiring to match the ramps board?
