I done the stepper thing with the stepper, this didn't help. This setup is for the ultimake, so how do you set itup for the Prusa i3?by tobig11 - Reprappers
My printer is prusa i3. The rate of flow of filament through my extruder is to high. Where do you go in the marlin firmware to change this value. My firmware is ( Reprap firmware based on Sprinter and grbl.) Copyright (c) 2011by tobig11 - Reprappers
Well tried it today, back to the way it was when it did not work. It don't work. Feed up!by tobig11 - Printing
Checked the stepper voltage. Read about .47v jacked it up to about .65 - .7. Works fine now.by tobig11 - Printing
How do you go about calibrating your e-steps, I,ve have never done that. And if the calibration has to be changed how do you do that? also when it goes over one layer to start anotherlayer it drags over that layer as if it's to low.by tobig11 - Printing
I have a prusa i3. After the first layer or two the material out of the hotend nozzle stops flowing. I changed the hotend to a new one, but it does it with this one to. The nozzle size is set right in slice. I tried increasing the temperature, this does not help. The hobbed bolt is working fine. It pushes filament out all over the place. Before this started the printer work perfectly. If I cuby tobig11 - Printing
I have a prusa i3 printer. This printer was printing perfectly before this happened. Now the first layer is printing to thick. If it is filling in a large object it may stop extruding material. When it gets to the end of the print layer it will not step up to the next layer and it runs over the first layer ruff with a dragging sound as if the extruder is to low. If it steps up the right way forby tobig11 - Printing
That realy don't explain How to use it or set it up.by tobig11 - Reprappers
This is what I did. but there is to much support. I can't cut it away, it is to attached to the object printed. How do I produce less support material?by tobig11 - Reprappers
Hi. How do you setup support with Slic3r? I read the manual but it don't tell you much. I tried setting it up the way that say with letting slice deside the support. This didn't turn out very good because it made the print just about solid. I tries other settings with , interface layers and interface pattern spacing, This all got attached to the object and became part of it. One thing I'm printinby tobig11 - Reprappers
I have installed Cura 14.6 on my computer. Can not get it to print. I have used the first setup wizard to install my printer. In the wizard I selected My machine as Prusa mendel i3. My printer is a prusa i3 I purchased from 3D Czar. My computer is a HP 635, 64 bit operation system. AMD E-300APU. Windows 7. Proterface and Slice work fine. When I try to print in Cura, all I get is echo Command “”by tobig11 - Reprappers
Hi Good day. I changed the settings that you told me to from true to false on the min x,y,and z axis and they work now. I didn't change max ones. But now they home in the opposite direction they should. They go to minus instead of plus. I stopped them by activating the endstop by hand. How do I fix this. The line number in my cofiguation h are difference then yours, your line 216 is my 281.by tobig11 - Reprappers
I had to download it from, 3DCzar, whom I purchased the printer from, and then install it. I have to go out now for a while to take care of some things. I will most likely not get to change the firware till tomorrow. I thank you for your help and will get back to you to let you know how it worked. Thank you again, Edby tobig11 - Reprappers
Ok. When I hold them closed they work in both directions. What do I have to change in the firmware? For a point of information, I had them hooked to " NO" instead of "NC" and the end stops worked right, but people said you could burn something out. Is this true?by tobig11 - Reprappers
When I have the endstops hookup the, x, y and z axis motors will only go in one directions, plus. Also when I try to go in minus it, using Pronterface, record endstop hit, but it was no where near the endstop Tried adjusting the motors power, but don't make difference. When I unplug the endstops the motors will go in both directions, but you have to go plus first to move in minus. Endstops are hoby tobig11 - Reprappers
So what your saying is my x endstop should be on the left as you face the printer. according to the plans I got they say to put in it on the right next to the idler. the y is on the left rear. The z is not used, because the person, at the place I purchased it from, 3D Czar, said not to use it, the fitting they give you is to big to fit where it has to go. The firmware is Marlin Version 3. My printer is a prusa i3, build from kit. Using Pronterface to check the directions of motors. With the endstops hooked up, The x axis and y axis will only move in one direction, positive. With the endstops disconnected the, I adjusted the pots and the motors move in both directions, with out the endstops hooked up. When I hook the endstops up again the x and y will only move in the positive dirby tobig11 - Reprappers
Be nice, I may just turn the wires around. But my question readly is about the firmware. I don't like fooling with stuff like the firmware, but would like to learn how to do it. I know when you know how to change things in the firmware after a while it become easy. That is why I would like learn what to do. Also, When you change the firmware, DO YOU, just save the change or do you have to uploadby tobig11 - Reprappers
I purchased a 3d printer, Prusa i3 kit, and put it together. Testing with Pronterface, the z axis go in reverse of what they should. When I push plus they go minus and when I push minus they go plus. What iI would like to know is how to edit the, Marlin Firmware to change this. I know you can reverse the wires but I would like to learn how to edit the firmware. I have never used a programming laby tobig11 - Reprappers
What is the purpose of the endstops. What do they really do?by tobig11 - Reprappers
On difference wiring diagrams, for the i3, it shows the wires hooked up driffence. some show ,NC to S, and Com to "-" or' and some show NO to S, and Com to "-"or". One way is normal open and the other is normal closed. Which is the right hookup. and why.by tobig11 - Reprappers
Yes I know how to use a computer, I have had a computer since Radio Shack, first came out with them. As a matter of fact I still have one of the first, Dot color printers, in my attic, which at the time cost $ 500.00. which was a lot of money at that time. I have to go to work and other thinks that have to be done so I will not be fooling with the printer for a few days or so.by tobig11 - Reprappers
I have to reinstall Arduino software, and download the firmware again. But I just plug in the USB and the computer calls to want to install driver. I'm not going to play with anymore today. I'm not sure if I should try again on the laptop or my desktop. Everything the computer guy told me I could do didn't work. He told me I could format the board which I couldn't do.It has in arduino tools, newby tobig11 - Reprappers
Tried over writing the frimware. Wouldn't overwrite. tried auto format. wouldn't auto format. Deleted everything on the computer with name arduino.by tobig11 - Reprappers
No I wouldn't be able fool around with the printer for a few days or so. I have to many other things to do and get courtup on and work. Will get back to you when I do.by tobig11 - Reprappers
Didn't mean to put that on there 3 times. I thought it didn't load the first 2 times, till I seen there was a second page.by tobig11 - Reprappers
