One of the problems I am having leveling my print bed is I can never tell exactly how far I have moved the screw. What would be Ideal would be some side mounted jack screw with a dial. Is there anything out there like that? I think I could rig something up using a couple of drywall anchors a washer or two and some pins. But just being able to tell how much movement happened would be enough. Thanby Miertam - General
What about a cable winder. Something useful quick to print and shows off RepRap.org's logo. I suck at design but something like with RepRap.org in the middle Mikeby Miertam - Reprappers
What about plain old glass? It has a high melting point, high visibility, relitivally light, and since you are wanting it to contain the smell you will want to make it as air tight as possible. If a fire did break out inside it the oxygen would soon be all consumed and extinguish itself. On the con side it is glass so it's fairly fragile, No more indoor baseball games. I know you have it working with electric motors, but is there some reason when you were looking for high torque drives you didn't use hydraulic motors? Is it just a case of one more system to go wrong? Thanks Mikeby Miertam - General
That..is awesome. Looks like it's time to rent a crane though.by Miertam - General
I haven't needed to call the support yet other than to verify my printer. But I have had to clean out the extruder once. I am going to blame that one on the filament that I bought with the printer. It is just crappy and created lots of strings and pops as well as tending to hang in the extruder and get ground up. I have a couple new spools and WOW what a diferance. I am looking around for a nby Miertam - General
I liked the kit option just because I know all the parts should work together. The cost saving of sourcing everything is easily negated by just haveing one peice that just doesn't work with everthing else. You might also look in the For Sale section for people selling kits or whole printers. Mikeby Miertam - General

That is a 300w power supply a cheap one so it's probally only good for 250w constant. Watage wise that should be more than enough to push everything. here is a video showing you what you need to doby Miertam - General
I have been playing with my new printer for a week or so. One of the things that is driving me insane is that on some of my prints to get a print at all I have to turn support up to max which ends up in a almost solid block of plastic. That of course destroys the fine detail. if I turn it down it collapses and ends up as a mass of strings. What I would like is the ability to tell the slicer printby Miertam - General
I bought their Prusa Kit. While it's not perfect with just the book and a few hours (about 6) I got everything assembled. My thoughts on the company; They really need to work on their customer feedback, They took my money then silence for a week Then a we have shipped your order e-mail. The turn around time wasn't bad but it's always nerve wracking when a company doesn't send a Thank you for chooby Miertam - General
Is there anything I should be worried about printing on cardboard? Say the fibers getting in the hotend? Because I must say this is working wonderfully. Mikeby Miertam - Printing
Hello, I am new to 3D printing, I bought a Prusa Kit from 3D stuffmaker and spend a few days putting it together and calibrating it. For the first few days I had great prints with the PLA I ordered with the printer. Then the weather turned hot and I couldn't get anything to stick to the printbed. After much fighting tonight I finally was at the try anything stage and I taped a piece of card stockby Miertam - Printing
