Just to try and calm this down a little (Before the MODs get involved) each solution has its place. As Vreihen as stated the Ramps setup is very much at it's limit with a printer that requires more processing power than a Simple Cartesian design. It will not work effectively on a Delta if you attach a GLCD to it, it just cannot cope with the math's etc hence the move towards 32 but controllers.by dougal1957 - Reprappers
QuoteYella3D Hi Guys. I didn't want to go with the PanelDue attached to my Ormerod, so I came up with this. It fits the kit sold by T3DP3D. Like it will print one now. Thanks for this! Dougby dougal1957 - Ormerod
QuoteHarshhb101 @the_digital_dentist Thanks for your reply. The motor runs smooth but it vibrates a little while rotating. Is there something else that I am doing wrong??.? This is typically caused by incorrect Endstop configuration Check your endstops? you can tell the status of them with the M119 command if any are triggered then the motors will only move in the direction that the firmware thby dougal1957 - Reprappers
Quotedc42 I've just released PanelDue firmware 1.02. Changes in this release: Quote * Baud rate can now be configured. The default baud rate has been reduced to 57600. * Checksums are included in all commands sent to the Duet. * Added option to invert the display. * Added some quick commands on the Control page (G92 Z0, G1 X0 Y0, G1 Z1, G32). This version works best with Duet firmware 1.00d. Ifby dougal1957 - Ormerod

Quotesungod3k Im building a similar size now, have you thought about cross bracing? Yes I have and it will be done by Alloy sheet on the 2 rear side and a pieces of Perspex on the front so that it acts as a heated chamber. I am about to start cutting some Ally sheet for the top and bottom. also it is already quite rigid (the Tower extrusions are 20x40). Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Quotedc42 Sorry Doug, I didn't make that change. I'll do it now so that it will definitely be in the next release. Not a problem Dave just wanted to make sure a that it wasn't a bug or b that I had done something stupid. As an aside could you add some mounting holes/pillars on the side of the paneldue enclosure so that some swivvle mounts could be made to attach to the delta rails (I can do thby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Dave Just measure the spacing between the narrowest gap on the rods and if you could get the width of the board down to 15-16mm then it would fit. The latest design of Andy's Cherry pi uses stainless ball's on the end of the rods held in tension by a spectraline/spring arrangement which is actually very effective and easy to implement. This means that the probe would need to sit between the naby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Quotedc42 I've release a new version (1.00c) of my fork of RepRapFirmware for the Duet here . Changes in this release: * Fixed a problem with step generation that caused one of my delta prints to lean sideways * Added an experimental simulation mode. This simulates printing without actually doing it, to get an accurate estimate of the print time, taking account of accelerations, speed limits, lby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
QuoteKurzaa QuoteFloydThere are a lot of machines that use a setup like yours with a single leadscrew and two guides. I was wondering about that. How does the bed stay flat? Wouldn't it bend on the opposite side? What about having the two guides at the front with the single screw in the back? Or would that cause binding issues for the guides? QuotePointy Quotedc42Les, how much depth is there between the bottom of the effector plate and the tip of the nozzle on your build?. Quotem3gtr ok, my motors have four wires to the plug on the board (printrboard) in order.... blue/red/green/black. They can't be turned on the board due to the plug design, but I guess I could remove the pins and re-order them. Presumably I swap to be green/red/blue/black? OK then I guess you have a melzi board I think you can just swap 2 of the wires and that will do the same (It's certainlyby dougal1957 - Reprappers
QuotePointy I am definitely interested Dave, as you know. Size is going to be the key thing, I am using a version of AndyCarts CPIIIs sprung effector, and there is limited space to fit one.
