Has the hotend ever worked proper? have you specified the right thermistor in the table of thermistors in your firmware? if this is correct and still doesnt work, try measure if any current (amps) and calculate into (watts) the cartridge is 120watts? see who much power is travelling through the wire to the heat cartridge. if the hotend port is not giving you any readings, you might have burnt ouby pushthatbolder - Reprappers

Yes. It is the the motors making the noise. But with dampeners and fine tuning of stepper drivers you could eliminate most if not all this noise... With fine tuning my x- axis and y-axis are silent. But my double z-axis motor male a light buzz. And my extruder makes the same. And yes. The camera is picking up and amplifying the noise.by pushthatbolder - General

That is why i completely run from SD card. you may get interference with other programs from your computer It might have something to do with RAM and the printer is printing from the ram and when other programs are trying to be used , the Ram is Prioritising programs. or something like thatby pushthatbolder - General
- 11 years agoHave you tuned the trimpots on the stepper drivers? You will need to tune the power input, and even more important for the 2 steppers running from 1x stepper cintroller. Tune with an antistatic tool. CLOCKWISE until motor buzzes, then bring back until the motor has good torque and runs smooth. Do you have the bridge connectors in place for the 1/16 stepping that your firmware believes you have?by pushthatbolder - Printing

I have tried Cura, Pronterface, and Repetier host. Repetier host is the most user friendly out of all of them. I liked the fact it could use the Cura, Steignforge, and Slic3r slicing options. I like the fact you could control the fan, and it has informational heat graphs and the movement controls are well designed. Yes, Try with a lower Acceleration rate (2000) And also have you tuned your stepper drivers? Turn pots with antistatic tool clockwise until motors make a buzzing noise, then bring back until buzzing is gone and motor is running smooth with good enough torque so your hand cannot stop it. A lower acceleration may fix the immediate issue, but un tuned drivers are always going to be a problem. As yby pushthatbolder - General

What axis are you trying to move? Z-axis motors with the M5 threaded rod will have a step per mm of 4000 Y-axis with the 20tooth pulley and GT2 belt would be 80 steps per mm X-axis is the same as the Y-axis if you are using GT2 belt with 20 tooth pulley. You can see if this is right for you with the Prusa calculator the 'default' steps per mm are not always correct for your situation. I usedby pushthatbolder - General

Easy fix. Repetier has mirror function to correct print. Long fix. Define x-axis as homing to MAX+ in your firmware. And change polarity of motor for x-axis. So it homes in same location, but now its the max position. And will now print proper. Also tell your host you are homing at max for x-axis. Best fix. Probably out there, probably better.
