really simple dead level bed tight z 105-110 degrees bed temp set first layer to 175% if you use cura first layer print speed 18 (in cura) spray bed with aqua net xtra hold holds so well it will bust glass if you're not careful

i print for a living and thought i had seen every problem a 3d printer could have. but NO, i havent i run a large bank of prusa i3's 24/7 and have done so for years. my printers require very little maintenance. clean the tips every 2-3 months is about it one of them (that has run around 30 spools since new a few months ago) has a problem. the top layer (of any print) is "sunk down" l

i had 1 melzi and NEVER got any of my 6 laptops to see it 6 laptops 3 usb cords win xp, win 7 nothing ever saw it i flash ramps and mksbase firmware effortlessly threw the melzi into the trash and installed ramps 1.4 in its place printing wonderfully

a friend of mine bought the same printer it will start a print but quit extruding after a few minutes EVERY time. everything was clean, fan blowing wide open, good filament we replaced that worthless mk 10 with a mk8 and it prints perfectly now, EVERY print.

i have 6 others that are mksbase 1.3 and they are all just fine but it is pitiful that something as simple as a bad sd card reader stops these printers in their tracks i have search the EARTH for the lcd that came with the printers and have 2 ordered but waiting for them to get here from china i HOPE they are the correct ones.

cured my mksbase lcd problems converted the printer to true ramps 1.4 took about 2 hrs now i can run basically any lcd as i have for many years

reversed the cable ends the lcd l ights up but the screen is blank

i've built a ton of printers i run a large bank for a living and have done so for many years thought i'd seen every problem you could see with a 3d printer......nope just finished a new aurora i3 (my current favorites) no matter what you slice every print turns out 20% smaller on the x and y than sliced the z prints exactly as sliced, perfect anybody got any ideas? thanks in advance

already reversed leads no lcd except for the lcd that came on it will power up no matter how you plug it in

i have several i3's with the mks base 1.3 board on one of them the sd card reader sometimes reads, sometimes doesnt got one of my new replacement lcds , plug in, and it 's dark tried 3 other lcds, none light up when plugged in to the mksbase but power up fine when plugged into ramps 1.4 board anybody know where to get an lcd that will work with the mksbase 1.3?
