QuoteBratan Thanks man! How do you clean it after it's disasambled? I removed mine and it has a lot of ABS in it. If I just hit it up and invert would it pour out? Same problem with the clone j-head from replikeo ! I spent hours and hours to review all the printer, I think I would be mad ! So I decide to disasemble the jhead and heat it with a blowtorch, then put in acetone ! When I put the j-heaby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi Guys, I agree, this printer is quite good for PLA printing ! I try to print abs but always with difficulties ; the carbon fiber bed is not coplanar, so I print on a mirror with kapton tape (offered by Replikeo). The bed could never reach 100°C. So I added insulation (aluminium foils, aluminum tape, ...). The bed reach 100° but not more, and pieces do not stick. So I test the voltage of theby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, I have just published a new fork of Marlin on github (https://github.com/syl-20/Marlin) for ours Replikeo. It supports auto bed leveling (ABL) with Roxy's enhanced G29 command (http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.php?3105-Auto_Bed_Leveling-Enhanced-G29-command/),dynamic probe area (from bonm14: ),new post-processing script for slic3r (replaces the gcode "G29 L F R B n4" by "G29 L10 F20by syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteAllnei In Enhanced G29 you can define number of probes, so you can do 5x5 matrix or more yes, you can do 5*5 of probes, but I think there is an average of the values to a 3*3 matrix. QuoteAllnei Btw remove that metal lever from microswitch for better measurement With the lever effect, I think the probe needs less strength on the bed for the measure, as my bed is not rigid. Don't you think ?by syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteAllnei Right auto bed leveling mount is this or similar. I am using this design without problems. I design my own auto bed mount. The idea is to have auto bed + led ring, like on the picture. For hardware, just need cheaps 9g servo, end stop with deported switch, and a "LED Halo Ring Angel Eyes", like the one used on the cars when fogging. For software, just configure Marlin with instructiby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteBratan Hehe no problem! Did you print it out of PLA? BTW your printer looks really neat! I found cable organizer that came with Replikeo kit is too short, but Radioshack sells really long one for just $7! Did you have enough wire on your X endstop? Mine is a bit too short and sometimes catches on the heatbed when it moves I think I'll extend it. I print it with PLA. I spent many time toby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks to Bratan for the spool adaped to iron i3 ! This printer is very impressive ! I spent 3 days with calibration cubes, the result is so good, at 0.2mm. But 3d printing is not good for every day life ; my wife complains each day for the time spending to calibrate ... so I print her a beautifull wheel for her roomba robot ! Hope she lets me 3 another days to calibrate ... ;-)by syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Happy ! I'm happy ! I print my first calibration cube last day ! It is so far of perfection, but not bad at all ! I encouter many problems with the building of my replikeo printer : many disconnected connectors (for E thermistance and stepper motors), 0 ohm HB thermistance, wrong marlin config, ... like everyone ! For the price, Replikeo's kit is very attractive ! But you have to be good for soldby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, Is there a side for the heating bed PCB ? Bratan, on your photos, the heating circuit seems to be up, despite thingiverse assembly (http://www.thingiverse.com/make:59391) and wiki (http://reprap.org/wiki/Prusa_i3_Rework_Heated_bed_assembly). So, one side is better than another ? Thanksby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, The first package I received by China Air was so damaged that I did not accept it from the postman. It was returned to China. I contact Replikeo. They send me an another package by DHL. I received it yesterday (and I pay 50$ more). The package was intact, and everything was well packaged, thanks to Replikeo. In conclusion, I have lost 1 month and 50$ choosing China Air transportation. Nextby syl20077 - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotejprochnow Well here it is.... This is exactly how my box was received. If I would have pressed on the top it would have pressed in even further. Also attached is the bent frame picture. Not much of a bend but when you are talking a printer that has this type of accuracy this bend will effect it. Hi, I have received mine few weeks ago. The packet was so destroyed that I refused it. Hi, I have bought one iron kit at replikeo. I received the packet about 30 days after buying. But the packet was so broken that I refused it. I contact replikeo, they say they will send an another packet (renforced) by dhl. No news since last week. I hope they send it as soon as possible.by syl20077 - General Mendel Topics
Me too. I take the iron model. It was sent yesterday.by syl20077 - General Mendel Topics
Hi, I'm interested to buy at replikeo too. Prices are low, despite shipping from hong kong. Anyone have bought one there ?by syl20077 - General Mendel Topics
