I should be able to get this printer to print all of its own parts out now tho, I have a handful more of prusa MK3 Frames in boxes that I now get to assemble since I now am a little more familiar with how this bot works. Again thanks for all your awesome time and help!by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
just wanted to give you a shout out for all your help Dust, I really appreciate it. I figured out my issue. It seems either some binding or maybe a bad bearing is causing the Z axis to stop early. If i manual move it to the top then do Z calibration it works, but if i just hit the Z calibration it does not rise all the way to the top. I noticed this after looking at some videos of others doing thby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
ok, so when i do "auto home" it some times lands in the circle on the heatbed and some times it dosnt. Every time i do the Z calibration it never ends up in the circle. I dont understand this because when i do the self test and it does the "homing calibration" it passes that....by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
heres the z motors im using but im pretty sure there fineby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
ok so i double checked the lead screw specs and they are correct. i split the Z motors apart and still no change. I don't get it cause it passes homing calibration but wont pass z calibration.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
yeah i have the correct lead screws. Mine are built in to the motors. I have both Z motors tied in to each other, I forgot why i had to do this but it was for a different bot so im going to pull them apart and run them individually. I feel like this could be the issue.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
the bot should be to spec now, im using einsy rambo, mk3 frame etc...every thing else is passing besides Z calibration and the auto home seems off to me.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
I've finally got my home built (clone) to pass almost all its self tests. My issue now is that it dosnt "auto home" correctly. It dosnt land in the spot on the heatbed that it should. the probe works, it senses when to stop, it has done the 9 point calibration and passed that. But for some reason when i try to do the wizard or manually go to the z calibration it fails. Im assuming because its notby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
i now pass every thing but the Z calibration test. For some reason when my probe lowers down it instantly fails the z calibration.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
i looked it up, its not a bored i have messed with before so I dont know sorry. I know ramps 1.4, rambo boreds,etc... dont need modification with BLT touch.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
what 3d printer controller bored does your printer use?by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
yeah i looked at them but originally i didnt realize the prusa software wasnt as editable as its predecessor marlin. I thought I was going to be able to edit some of the firmware to suit my needs. I ordred the correct bearings theyll be here tomorrow. How ever since X axis is passing with the 623 bearings im not going to mess with it, dont fix some thing thats not broke I was able to use prusaby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
Ok so I got the new 16 teeth pullys, my X axis now passes but my Y axis wont pass. I tried adjusting the belt tension and it does help +/- a couple mm but not quite enough to be accurate enough to pass the test. I'm using F623ZZ bearings for the idler on the X and Y. I think for X axis this is correct any way but for the Y axis I believe it uses a different pully then X. Is the F623ZZ bearing notby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
alright, I guess ill jsut load a version of marlin on the board for now so I can print stuff since im really familiar with it its easy for me to change settings with in it. In the mean time i guess ill order the pullys i need, thanks again!by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
ahhhh, that is some thing I did not consider. I have been doing 3D printing for over 5 years now so I have tons of extra stuff from building repraps, I used some older pullys which I think are 23 teeth. Couldnt I just edit firmware to make the difference? I know its not as simple on prusa sense the file is a hex file but I know theres a way it an be done. I had a reprap I made with a ramps 1.4 ruby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
I do not have the steel sheet on. I've noticed that when I home the bot that it does NOT home the Probe to the location on the heatbed. My x carriage stays around 12mm away from the end of the travel length. When I auto home the bot it does not bump the end, it stays away from it so it never meets up with the mark on the heatbed. when I manually move the axis with in the settings i only travel aby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
my x axis belt tension reads at 248 as well.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
and yes, my 3D printer frame is a MK3 clone from Fysec so it should be the correct specs. I bought MK3 sized smooth rods and they match up to the frame so every thing should be right...by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
Im using every thing a prusa MK3 would have, eisny ramobo, pinda probe etc...etc...by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
I have a self built Prusa MK3, its not an official one but i have bought all the parts to spec. I got every thing together and going but when I do a self test the fans check out ok then it starts on the X axis, the carriage goes back and forth the ENTIRE distance of the machine and still fails. There is no further for the carriage to be able to go so I dont understand why its failing. I have checkby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
you know, I really should have thought about that my self. I guess the 6-7 hours I spent getting it together and then fiddelling with it must have really put a working on my brain haha. I really appreciate the help. I havnt adjusted to see if it will pass the calibration test yet but 50mm move got me around 70mm real time.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
I forgot what Pulls I’m using I bought them years ago. Standard RepRap pulleys but I don’t remember the tooth count. I’ll have to count them.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
I’m using the MK52 12v version. I’ll try changing steps per mm and see if that does any thing.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
Here is a video of my problem, the video started just after I raise the z axis all the way to the top.by cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
Basically I have a MK2 built on a MK3 frame. I'm using Rambo mini 1.3 I have prusa mk2 firmware installed but my problem is that during XYZ calibration my X carriage hits the X axis idler end during calibration. I have tried setting the X_MAX_POS to 190 instead of 250 in the configuration_prusa.h file but it does not change my X axis max distance. Is there some where I'm missing? Or is there someby cevans9921 - Prusa i3 and variants
Pretty much as the title states, I see videos of others using their Z probes online and mine does not act the same way. auto level cant be done unless I home each axis to 0. The issue is the Z Probe dosnt stop my Z axis from going down when homed. The Z probe is deploying and does read as trigged when it triggerd but it dosnt stop the Z axis during homing. I assumed since I'm not using a Z min enby cevans9921 - Firmware - Marlin
I finally got marlin working on my ramps 1.4 board correctly. My only issue now is G29 auto bed level dosnt work correctly. After homing If I use the G29 command to start the auto bed level, it will go to center of bed raise up a little and begin to go down. The probe deploys and light goes off. Issue is when the probe hits the bed it triggers and the light goes off but the Z axis does not stopby cevans9921 - Firmware - Marlin

I am using ramps 1.4 board I have tried all the variations of marlin that are on their website for download and none of them work correctly for me. both bug fixes work perfect except for the homing issue were it causes the printer to stop responding when X or Y is homed. I dont know if there is some sort of "check homing" setting that could be causing this? I have tried the configuration.h settby cevans9921 - Firmware - Marlin
I downloaded and tried using printerun to see if any thing different would happen and it does the exact same thing as repetier host, same error. It must be some sort of firmware setting that I'm missing.by cevans9921 - Firmware - Marlin
