yeah I had a look and tried to get it to work. even have a set of Verniers to set the correct hight of the 2 mm above the print head... it is a pain atm...lolby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
thanks oh so very much. i got it working just now trying to get the Proxy sensor correctly setup so I can get the first layer right. I am having issues with it just trying to print too close for the first layer and what not.. trial and error I guessby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoterumjar86 cheers gator. I know that I sound like a dumb ass at times, just need that little bit of you know mentoring, if you could point me in the right direction just to make sure I have everything setup correctly with me config, for bed size tracking etc. I have a 200 x 200 x 180 print size, or is the print size controlled by the slicing software when organising from stl to gcode? I would love to use the auto feature but if not then all good. as for my OS I'm using 7 atm while I figure out this issue. I'm so lost with all the info so thought I would just ask, SOOOO Many posts on similar machines lol thanks again guysby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hey Invictus, I just tried the gcode for cura but now the Y axis just sits there trying to go back past the end stop (clunck, clunck ) noise of the belt slipping on the pully. I posted the code I have on my end, please any help man would be greatly appreciated. I just can't get anything to work atm. ;Sliced at: {day} {date} {time} ;Basic settings: Layer height: {layer_height} Walls: {wall_thby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
cheers guys for the advice. I have to wait about 30 hours till one print finishes then I will give that a go. is the start code still the same for cura etc?by rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteUkemaxxer Quoteveaceonee QuoteUkemaxxer Quoteveaceonee My filament is 1.67-1.69. Did the PID autotune, and turned down the stepper pot Voltages and it is getting much better. What parameters did you use for PID autotune. I used M303 E0 S200 C8, but every time it fails with temperature too high M301 P22.20 I1.08 D114.00 This is what is echoed from the printer when I connect in Pronterface.by rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
just wondering if someone could help me out with the cura settings for my migbot? I am getting issues with it not centring the print on the bed and I am at a loss what to do. please pictures and or instructions are much appreciated. I am just having issues with larger prints not sitting on the bed correctly, Also is there a way to get the printer to auto feed a little quicker so there is filamentby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
ok I have a really dumb question about the proximity switch setup. I bought the model without the proximity and just had the momentary switches for x, y and Z axis. do i just take of the z axis switch and wire up the plug? oh and what pins do what for that switch, (I bought an SN04-N2 Proximity switch to put on) just not sure of the wire colour code to convert etc. sorry for the vague use of Englby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
could you give a pic of the proximity switch and also a close up of you MKS base board. I noticed that there is a stepper IC missing on my board and now after seeing what others out there have been doing to their printers with the auto leveling... I just been thinking it might be so much easier if I just print another part then stuff around heaps with this leveling by hand all the time. Joshyby rumjar86 - General Mendel Topics
If i was to go into the code to adjust the print size to use the bed more. like when you send a print to the centre it will use the centre of the bed. I am just lost with steps etc. using the correct perimeters etc, like how far to the printing area from the park/home spots. if that makes any sense. damn I hate text, so hard to ask and make sure we both understand the question. :-) thanks for theby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hey guys, I am having my real first lesson in compiling in Arduino for my MKS base 1.2, I have tried and tried replicating some of the code from another configuration.h file. this is the error I get. Thanks for any help Arduino: 1.6.3 (Windows 7), Board: "Arduino Mega or Mega 2560, ATmega2560 (Mega 2560)" In file included from Marlin.h:22:0, from temperature.cpp:32: tempeby rumjar86 - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I am having a similar issue, it says the hotend is 468 degrees, which I don't think is correct. I have the MKS Base board and used the following settings as stated on the wiki link ( #define BAUDRATE 250000 //This will work fine for the MKS Gen #define MOTHERBOARD 33 //33 is for RAMPS which the MKS GEN is compatible with MOTHERBOARD 34 #define TEMP_SENSOR_0 3 //If you have the NTC 100K #definby rumjar86 - General
hububalli, would you have any instruction on how to properly configure the board? I am in the same boat. random issues with these boards when they arrive. mine doesn't use the whole bed and at times randomly goes all garbled on the LCD and when printing from SD it will print good at times and others have slice the object so it's good on the bottom but the top it's slid to the left and continued tby rumjar86 - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I'm having the same issue. did your board come with the MKS base v1.2 also? mine seems to at times when printing from SD slices the print in half. I'll post a pic of it when it finishes. just trying to do another test print. I am having an issue with the LCD going all garbled every now and again after been on for about 2-5 mins. hopefully we can find a solution. Joshby rumjar86 - General Mendel Topics
Also not to hijack the thread I was just wondering how to setup the bed size so the printer properly uses the space correctly. the only instructions given by the seller was go to prepare using the LCD controls and hit auto home. from what I have found it has nothing to do with the proper calibration of the bed. it comes up with a Mendel is ready, is that part of Marlin? I am wondering if I shouldby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hey guys, I just finally after some tinkering and been sent dodgy linear bearings, have just been trying to setup the bed and now after fiddling with the controls (settings z and X and Y axis from the LCD) after about 3 or so minutes the LCD starts to go all garbled. have any of you had any issues similar to this? I was wondering if it could be power supply or something. would any of you have anby rumjar86 - Prusa i3 and variants
