i recently bought an mks tft32 lcd and mks wifi module to hook up to my mks gen v1.4 on a migbot i3. according to makerbase, you can print using pronterface and repetier host. i set the wifi up on my home network and tried pronterface. it connected and i controlled axis movement but could not get it to print. in repetier, i connected with the module..but no control whatsoever. i really wanted toby rejaak - General
i was wondering about the differences . and i just printed new right and left x mounts in abs too. drat! what about the y axis pulley? pictures show it as larger than what is on the migbot. i planned to design a tensioner for this.are the x axis smooth rods the same distance from each other so i can use the same print carriage? because i just did a redesign for one that holds my new v6 hotend andby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
in my case, i run the cooling fan for the printed layers with ABS. when i didn't, the print would go all limp and quickly separate from the glass bed. i run 230-110 btw. on another note, i've noticed talk about the migbot frame being somewhat "not rigid" and i totally agree. i can grab the y axis frame and move it side to side ..easily. all my bolts, screws and nuts are tight..very tight. i amby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
the sensor i bought is: Amico LJC18A3-H-Z/BX 1-10mm Capacitance Proximity Sensor Switch NPN NO DC 6-36V 300mA. i got it on amazon.com. when i made the mount, i wasn't paying attention and i tred a very large print the other day that used most of the bed. when it started, the probe mount crashed slightly into the right side of the printer frame. i'll have to revise my mount or i'm thinking of settby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
i'm definitely interested in the repetier firmware. i scanned their online config tool just to see the layout and i like the features it has. its a little intense and although i could configure some of the settings going by my marlin configuration.h file, a lot of it is over my head at the moment. maybe someone with a migbot can come up with a general configuration.h file for repetier firmware. iby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
i don't know if this will help, but, i finally was able to get my prints centered in cura by adding "G92 X-15 Y120" right before the M117 command in the start gcode. for some reason in Repetier Host, its "G92 X-18 Y120". dead nuts center.by rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
Yakuza, here is the z probe mount i remixed. the y tensioner is supposed to be in 2 parts. i also tried to download your fixed files from google drive but when i tried to unzip them, winzip said they were corrupted.by rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
thanx Zurking. some of them are on thingverse and some are mods i did but haven't uploaded yet.by rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
Just thought i'd share some photos of my evolving build and the mods i've implemented. feel free to criticize my efforts. My migbot fotosby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
i built it yakuza and it had a problem. the main body wouldn't let the probe lift high enough to do a calibration. so, i remixed it. i plan on uploading it to thingverse soon. it works quite well actually, much easier than doing a test...re-adjusting the probe..test..move the probe, etc. with this, you just turn the adjuster..test, turn the adjuster 1/4 or 1/2 turn and test again..i calibrated myby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants

warning: i downloaded the marlin firmware posted by Magiske and it seems fine except, if you are using a glass bed, you need to change the probe points from 3 to 2 in the configuration.h file. i found out the hard way as it tried to probe 9 points and started to smash into the bed. also, it still doesn't center the print on the bed. i mean, wouldn't the coordinates be embedded in the firmware? iby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
well, i've been so busy making mods and prototyping stuff, i didn't have time until now to try and figure out the bed centering issue. i tried the lines from jcabrer but the printer would auto level and at the point where it pauses ..then starts to print....nothing. i've tried inserting a G1 line corresponding to where i thought the print head should go..but it doesn't go there. if you take the eby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
FYI guys..if a peep with the handle "Leo" or "Lion" starts posting in here, its the guy in china from migbot tech support. i was emailing him last nite about some bearings he was supposed to send me since i was missing them when i got my printer. apparently sarcasm is lost on him or he just didn't care when i told him that i wouldn't have this printer running except for my research on the web andby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
the y axis slides just fine. i wondered if the accel settings in the firmware was the culprit. EDIT: just an fyi...i had read about sending an M119 command to the printer to check limit switch states. i just didn't know what to use to try it. i found out about Pronterface and tried it. it was a bad limit switch. luckily i had a spare since i ordered my migbot with the auto leveling function. stby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
this y axis grinding when homing is driving me nuts. i'm afraid the motor or belt is going to get destroyed. i've checked to make sure all the moving cables are out of the way. the limit switch "appears" to be operational physically. any ideas anyone?.....anyone?...Bueller?....Bueller?..(sorry, i had to say that)by rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
thanks. i'm not using repetier host because when i installed it, it gave me an "out of video memory" error. i haven't looked into that yet. i'll go into cura as soon as a print i'm running is finished. thanx again.by rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
hi..new here and just got a migbot a few days ago. very frustrating machine because of the lackluster support. in my case the extruder motor wasn't working and the firmware appeared to be glitchy. i couldn't get cura to talk to the printer. my emails to support would go unanswered usually, so, after some research, i reflashed the board with the latest marlin firmware and thanks to jcabrer (thanksby rejaak - Prusa i3 and variants
