QuoteAx Postage to the UK on that is horrendous, but I've just had a look and found a 3mm thick plate from Australia which worked out cheaply so I've bought 3 (for my 3 Migbots) for around £50 including postage. Could you please post the link to the plates? I'm in Australia and would like to get one. Thanks!by MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotegwc2795 For the Z-axis I use this For the X and Y I use 3-in-1 oil. One drop and then move the bearings over that, Then take a towel and remove the remaining oil from the rods. Use a toothpick to apply the Moly Plate. Lower the Z-axis and apply a touch above the Z-axis bearing and raise and lower the axis several times to spread it on the threaded rod. Once that is spread move the axis upby MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi All, Just wondering what lubricant you are using on the slides and Z-axis threaded rods? Thanks, Michaelby MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
Quote3DST Yes, the knob is the "infinity" type. It just turns forever. Thanks, thought that would be the case. Another thing to nag Leo about (if I could be bothered)by MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteMigMic Just a quick question regarding the control knob next to the LCD: should this rotate continuously? Anyone?by MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
Just a quick question regarding the control knob next to the LCD: should this rotate continuously? Mine feels like it's got grit in it because it doesn't rotate smoothly, and is limited to about 350 degrees rotation. Also the button sometimes gets stuck... Quoteveaceonee My printer is due to come in tommorrow (after nearly a month and a bunch of lies). Anyway, I have read mixed reviews on the power supply that comes with this thing. Would it be better/safer to use the PSU that comes with it or an old ATX computer power supply (the one I am planning is rated at 19A on the 12v rail)? Hi, Suggest you try the PSU you get with the Migbot as you mayby MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteMigMicHope this helps a bit and good luck! (I'll let you know whether my own advice helps me at all ) After a bit of nagging I eventually got the replacement parts I needed. Still a few hiccups but thankfully no show-stoppers. Hoping to have the time this week to complete the build and start printing.by MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteveaceonee Finally got my printer in today. Was looking over things and noticed the wiring is odd for the steppers. There are 4 pin connectors and 6 pin connectors. The 4 pins are wired black green blue red. However the 6 pins are wired red green blue black. Which is correct? How can I fix it? Thanx. QuotesteanebThanks Invictus, worth a shot. I've been loathe to drop the height of the probe due to the gouging issue you mentioned and also having the sensor mount printed part arrived deformed. I've given up hoping for a replacement from our 'helpful' mate Leo. Just waiting on a friend to print one off for me. I feel your pain. Thanks for starting this thread. My Migbot arrived yesterday and I've started putting it together. So far so good, but I suspect the fun will start once I apply power to the thing . Cheers, Michaelby MigMic - Prusa i3 and variants
