Quotecanny Quotewoodknack Quotecanny Hi i am having trouble calibrating my 2020 does anyone know where i can learn how to calibrate or maybe even tell me on here? Im having an issue where i sent it to print and it send the printer bed all the way to the front away from the extruder, im guess thats due to calibration correct? if you home your y axis does the bed go to the rear until it hits the liby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
Mach, Have you tried powering down, and disconnecting the USB cable, from the printer. If I remember correctly, my LCD wouldn't work if I just plugged it in while the the Arduino was running (12v PSU on and USB connected). Also, the contrast/brightness adjustment is VERY sensitive. It goes from blue to readable to full white in a quarter turn when the 12v PSU is running. With the PSU off (unpby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants

I have downloaded and included the u8glib library in config.h, uncommented #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER, #define ULTRA_LCD, #define DOGLCD, and #define SDSUPPORT. QuoteBrotherbrown831 I searched but was unable to find my question. I have a RepRap discount full graphics display I would like to add but the version of Marlin that folgertech supplies does not have the option for that LCD in the config.h file. In order to use this panel am I going to have to use a fresh verion of Marlin from Github and transpose all the Folgertech settings into it or is it as sby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteBrotherbrown831 Hello.. new member here, just got my kit in the mail and started working on building the base, however there seems to be an issue with using M5x8mm bolts to hold down the SK8. The SK8 is 6.53mm thick so there is not enough thread left to get a good bite on the T-nut. Has anyone else seen this issue? Did i just get really thick SK8's? I ran into this issue as well. Finally, a successful ABS print. Now to print some replacement/upgrade parts.by TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
I am still struggling with ABS. My heated bed (@14v) cannot stay at 100c during a print. It seems that once it drops to 80c, the print (w/brim) releases from the glue stick coated glass. I have cleaned the glass, applied fresh glue stick, and the printer is now enclosed in an Ikea Lack table with foamboard taped to the sides. I have been at this for several hours today. I am on my 5th attempby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
Well I'm 4.5 hours in and through step 9 of the assembly manual. Time to call it a night. So far I have managed to keep my cool, and there have been no major headaches. There is room for improvement from a screw/bolt standpoint, and there are some steps in the assembly manual that should be done differently.by TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
First trip to the hardware store complete. The M5x8mm screws for mounting the SK8s are only just barely long enough. I picked up M5x10mm as a better option.by TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
The 4-10 (probably 12 for me) hour struggle begins. Here's to hoping there are no missing parts.by TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotemel0n Also for those who PM'd me about my camera/RasPI setup in the pictures of my printer, here is what my camera view looks like. Thats a wheel for a robot I am working on btw. Is that the Pi NoIR Camera or just low/warm lighting? I setup OctoPrint on my old RPi Model B, but I will be a USB port short if I use WiFi, USB webcam (carppy VGA currently plugged in), and the printer, which shby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
I ordered the Folger Tech 2020 i3 Friday, and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. After reading through the thread, I didn't expect to see any tracking movement until the end of the week, but USPS has the package. Hopefully they didn't ship the extra nozzle I ordered separate from the printerby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
Before I place an order with FT, are there any spare/extra parts that you guys would recommend adding to the order? I already have the graphical LCD coming from BangGood, so I am thinking more along the lined of stuff like extra nozzles, thermistor, heater cartridges, fans, etc.by TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
What are the dimensions of the printer, not including any spool holder?by TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
Long time lurker, first time poster... Regarding the enclosure idea, what are the dimensions of the printer? I have seen a Prusa i3 enclosures made from Ikea Lack tables which sell for about $10. If the 2020 i3 is similar size, then should fit within the footprint of the Lack legs. I was thinking about stacking the Lack tables, so the printer sits on one (not inverted) and then the other enclby TimJC - Prusa i3 and variants
