I got it to work. In my version of the board the headers for the Sd card and the screen were soldered in the wrong orientation. I cut out a new opening so I could fit the connector and now it's workingby mottihoresh - Minnesota Twin Cities RepRap User Group
I am having the exact same problem. Were you able to get it to work?by mottihoresh - Minnesota Twin Cities RepRap User Group
Yea Im going to to the same, going to connect the fan on the extruder to run 100% and the second fan would run on D8 or D9 can't remember exactly. I found a nice holder on thingiverse that hook up between the fan and the heat sink, and you can attach a 40mm fan to it form the side.by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
Yea.. try that. I am pretty sure something is fried there.. just not sure where to start digging. after i shorted it out, i heard a low bang, and it smelled for a second.. I unplugged everything, and tried reconnecting it again. The mega is being recognized when disconnected from the RAMPS, but when re-connecting it again, the computer doesn't recognize it anymore.by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteDevil Inc This is the one I have currently, not really liking it, but that might be because I still have the stock fan on there. It doesn't really have enough CFM for the dual outlets, IMO. I did have this one on it, I might throw it back on and see if it helps. I do have a beefier fan to install, but I need to pickup some M3 allthread. I don't have any screws that fit properly. I think I might have fried my RAMPS board, While I was adjusting the z axis end stop, I accidentally shorted out the end stop pins with an alen wrench. The board does turn on, but while connected to the mega, the computer doesn't recognize it. Is that a perminant damage and should i get a replacement? or is it fixable?by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
I've been printing for about a week now (almost went through a 1kg of abs) couple days ago the x axis started shifting during printing. After examining the x carriage a little I noticed that the belt clamp/holder thing started to wrap... Are the printed parts made out of abs or pla?by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
Had similar issue where I was getting mirror image on the x axis. I switched the end stop position on the ramp board from min to max. Inverted the x axis in marlin and set the x home die to 1by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
What are you guys getting for the a axis print size? I've printed something tall last night and I am only getting 138mm of vertical spaceby mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteDMPurdy Okay I am seriously thinking about buying one of these. Does anyone know if this works with Macs for software? I'm using it with Mac, repetiter has a Mac version too.by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
I am running into an issue where the prints coming out mirrored, should I reverse the end motors? or is there a configuration step I am missing?by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
I got a 8x8 glass frame from Michaels, it was 8$ for 2 glasses.by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
Yea I think i got those, wasn't sure what there were used for. Might be a good idea to add it to the guide. I will check it later tonight. Thanks again for the awesome kit!by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
@Dan, I assumed each end stop would take 2 M3-10mm screw with nylon nut. I've kind of guessed how to put the end point. I've placed the Y axis one close to the stepper motor, z axis one next to the power supply, and the x axis one on the right side. I think that those positions are probably not the right ones because I only get around 150-160mm on the Y axis, maybe I need to move the X axis asseby mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi Guys, I am pretty much done putting the printer together last night. I really like the 2020 aluminum frame, makes the printer really sturdy. I was couple of screw short for the end points (M3-10MM), I had a small box with extras so I was able to finish putting those together. When running the printer, I've noticed that the X-axis step motors runs really hot. Is that normal?by mottihoresh - Prusa i3 and variants
