Quotepaul_delta Quoteplrmaker7 You guys that have ditched the probe, are you still using the acrylic bed mounts and/or spacers? I'm still using original kit mounts, but they suck, of course - too many mounting points and the whole system is very flimsy/unstable because of heat expansion/contraction. I'm going to move to 3-point suspension, but not sure that printed clips is good solution - becauby plrmaker7 - Delta Machines

Quotepaul_delta Quoteplrmaker7 Has anyone else had issues with Z Probing (Proximity type) with Marlin? I am trying to switch to Repetier firmware to get the auto probing to work.... I spent a lot of time trying to setup Marlin (almost all branches on Github) for Kossler delta with proximity - no luck. Finally switched to Repetier 0.92.5. Here is my Config file, just in case, you may use it asby plrmaker7 - Delta Machines

Quotedavidf01 Quotellamatrails Quotedavidf01 QuoteKoenig Quotedavidf01 SO does anyone have any ideas or information on how to calibrate line width/height? I know Slic3r calculates the width for me so I guess calibrating line height would get the width for me. What do I do if the line height is to large or to skinny? Do I just adjust endstops or do I adjust extrusion multiplayer? Thx "Line heigby plrmaker7 - Delta Machines
QuoteJoeybane Here are the settings i use: #define DELTA // Make delta curves from many straight lines (linear interpolation). // This is a trade-off between visible corners (not enough segments) // and processor overload (too many expensive sqrt calls). #define DELTA_SEGMENTS_PER_SECOND 200 // Center-to-center distance of the holes in the diagonal push rods. #define DEFAULT_DELTA_DIAGONAL_RODby plrmaker7 - Delta Machines
Help with calibration - questions: 1. G29 only probes 1 half of bed - is this caused by incorrect z probe offset setting? the distance between my nozzle and zprobe was -37mm. I put {0,-37,-.7,0} in config and it only probes right side. 2. Does EEPROM need to be turned on for the proximity sensor to work? 3. Do I still have to adjust each tower endstop?by plrmaker7 - Delta Machines
I have the Rev B. with the inductive proximity sensor. I can home with G28 fine, but when I try the G29 to probe the bed, it moves down to about 30mm above the bed then "dances" up and tries to crash through the endstops???? Any help would be greatly appreciated....by plrmaker7 - Delta Machines
Quotedavidf01 Quoteplrmaker7 I am late to the party, but was wondering if anyone else had to reverse the motor plugs from what is in the folger documentation? also, how do you disable the auto bed leveling for the kossel rev b? Just dont use the G29 code and it wont auto level. It does not run the auto level automatically. Ok, thanks for the response! Am I correct regarding the motor wire orby plrmaker7 - Delta Machines

Quotesonnylowe Help....Extruder stopped working. Hey guys, i just got my printer together and running yesterday, made a half dozen prints and now the Extruder isn't working!?!? I think it happened in the middle of a print. I had walked away from the printer and returned when it was done, the top two layers were missing filament, I assumed the roll got snagged and it simply quit feeding. QuoteBert3D That was exactly it. Found a loose ball of solder floating around on the back of the ramps. Just plugging and unplugging cables was enough to shift it somewhere it shouldn't be. Reflowed all the solder points that looked suspect, and now it works fine. Awesome, glad it worked out for you!by plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteBert3D Ok, my printer has been working fine for over a week, and now suddenly the Z axis will only go up. It is not inverted. When you send a command to go down, it goes up. When you send the command to go up, it goes up. I rebooted everything, multiple times, reflashed the arduino, checked connections. Tried it from the LCD and from manual control inside Repetier. What can cause this?by plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
I had the same issue, ended up being a bad solder point on the ramps for the z - motor driver. folgertech replaced my ramps (took 10 days - so ordered a replacement from amazon). While waiting for the ramps replacement(s) - I fixed the old one by re-soldering the pins.by plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
Nevermind the above - found a short in the thermistor wire, contacting folgertech for replacement.by plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
Anyone experience this? This is my second i3 2020 kit - the first one has been running great for 2 months. Ordered a second and it arrived last week. Had some issues with wrong screws, washers, corner brackets larger than first kit, etc.... - but I soldiered on with the install. I have flashed with the original and the updated Marlin firmware and have these issues. 1. Z-axis tried to hoby plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
Maybe I am reading this wrong but according to the tuning guide - the A4988's should be set to .280v? I have mine all set to .280v and all seem fine - except the stepper motor on the X axis gets very hot. The drivers, however, stay cool. Thoughts???by plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
When building my kit, I also noticed that the X axis plug was upside down compared to the others. Is this correct?by plrmaker7 - Prusa i3 and variants
