Thanks, I may be on the right path right now after finding the new changes for the BLTouch listed. I have it working fine in RC3 but want to update everything with the new MKS boards I'm installing. Have to test now and seeby CheopisIV - Firmware - Marlin
Would you be willing to share the config file? I'm interested in switching from RC3 to RC7 on the Folgertechs when I finish the MKS upgrade.by CheopisIV - Firmware - Marlin
Still waiting on the BL Touch units to get here from Korea; been busy building Doohan with a few key upgrades including real lead screws at 500mm and Igus Drylin bushings. This is before I tidied up the wiring and printed a few more parts (ie: LCD housing and mounts) So far, the Igus bushings are causing a bit too much drag and I can't get perfect circles like the other two machines. I'm pretty sure mine is the 2mm pitch and it does run fine. On the 4 RAMPS/MEGA based kits I've built, I've cooked one stepper control and not really sure if I did it or if it was semi faulty from the start. It was nice to be able to pull it and install a new one with no fuss!! I'm thinking this next FT machine is going to get some healthy mods. The FolgerTech machines have been my workhorses for the past 9 months and have seen some upgrades along the wa, but the next upgrade is pretty exciting. I just ordered a few BL Touch units off eBay and they look to be a fantastic solution for auto bed-leveling. Will post again when I know more! BL Touch on eBay =by CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants

Take the review for what it is... I bought the kit, built and tuned it and expressed my opinions on the process related to the 6 other kits I've built; nothing 'flamboyant' about anything but your trolling. If you want to discuss design flaws then by all means get in touch with the guy selling them because I'm not interested as I don't sell them. He's quick to respond when contacted and seemsby CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
None of those are questions, just opinions and I did answer the Y-plate deflection (none). Of course I can push on it and make it move but that's no different than anything else. I didn't design it so don't care whether people think it's good or bad; I bought, built and tuned one of them and found it to be an excellent kit at a ridiculously low price. It outshines my other production machinesby CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteMKSA The X axis is hanging from one lead screw plus a flexible coupler then motor isn't ? As for the bed, can you try to put let's say 100g on one corner and measure the deflection with a micrometer ? How much ? When I see the narrow track, I think about the way the police ask to walk to check if you are sober ANd they still use smooth idler pulleys ! Well, that's a tough one. My first Folgertech 2020 took a few days and then a few months later another day to clean up the wires. My second Follgertech 2020 took maybe 6-8 hours including wire cleanup with splicing and soldering. The Tarantula took a total of 5-6 hours with wire cleanup (with the videos as guides) and required no splicing, but I had to resolder 2 of the endstops which I pullby CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteUltiFix Is the bowden extruder working out well? What kind of board is it? The z is working well with only 1 motor? The printer is working fantastic. QuoteThe Mighty Gorgonion Hi, im new to 3d printing . I started with a prussa i3 acrylic frame geetech. I aim to upgrade it to aluminum frame but i will need in the future a few more printers proceed with my work flow. QuoteThe Mechanic How smooth is the Z-axis with only 1 screw? Zero issues with the Z-Azis. It prints perfect so far. The wheels are incredibly silent and secure.by CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks Ed, and your videos were what made this kit work for me. Great job on them and THANK YOU for taking the time. Now some more pics and thoughts... When it came to leveling the X-Axis, I was having a time of it with the carriages moving and the T-Nuts not grabbing...I thought I'd make use of the Y-tray before putting it in. I used it to hold the X-Axis in place perfectly level for tightby CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
I love building printers, and I even love it more when they actually work. So far I've done 2x Folger Tech i3 2020 (Still use both), 1x GEEETech i3 (Sold it), 2x Makibox A6 HT (Sold 1, other for sale), 1x Kwuson Delta (For Sale) and now the Tevo Tarantula. Of the lot, I'd have to say the Tarantula was the easiest to build and best thought out and packaged. Not to say there weren't issues neby CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
Who hasn't been tempted by a cheaply priced Chinese kit on eBay? I'm tempted all the time but usually don't pull the trigger because something is weird about the pics or seems sketchy or they're using some stock pics that people use all over the internet. This one came up at $279 USD shipped, the pics/description and reviews seemed decent enough and I've been thinking of doing up a Delta kit foby CheopisIV - Delta Machines
This is a bit of an older post, but I ended up buying a Kwuson Delta from eBay and couldn't be more disappointed if I tried I'm going to do up a build thread on it soon, it's still in progress but I should be able to get back to the build tomorrow after this next round of prints on the Prusa. Until then; stay away from the Kwuson!!by CheopisIV - Delta Machines

Been some time but figured it's time to update. I just got back to the first machine and cleaned up the wiring and upgraded the extruder today. I was having some issues with the E3D clone so swapped in the real E3D V6 I had on the Makibox and my issues went away. I suspected the thermistor but found I may have been using the wrong table after checking their online instructions on which table to use. I put the clone on the Makibox and set the proper table, ran the PID autotune and it prints every bit as good as the E3D did! Regardlesby CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants

Nimoy got an upgrade today!! E3D V6 clone from Leap3D on eBay. Every bit as good as the real deal (have one on my Makibox) but 1/3 the price.... Funny thing about switching from the stock hot end; it was supposed to have a 40 nozzle on it and so does this one, but the stock nozzle has a significantly bigger orifice than the E3 clone. I've not tried Hatchbox but I've been using stuff from Seacans (Canada) and a couple rolls from FolgerTech. The FolgerTech black has clogged the stock hot end 2x in a whole roll but I'm thinking it's just a bad nozzle. I changed it to the low profile nozzle from an E3D and it hasn't had any issues yet.by CheopisIV - Prusa i3 and variants
