Today was awesome after two weeks since completing the build! After two simple fixes, thanks to tidbits from this group, I was up and running. My extruder connection was backwards and the X limit switch needed to be moved one set to the left. Also spent some time leveling the bed. I've since printed 4+ hours in PLA, attached, and a calibration cube in ABS (not shown); the white piece is real Leby roy_okc - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotecorry Biggest issue: to those who say they got the kit assembled in 4 hours are you *SURE* you have those t nuts rotated in the slots 90 degrees? All of them? They're awful. I know misumi's preinstall t nuts cost a bit, but those (m4) post install t nuts are absolute garbage. Spent hours on single bolts sometimes. Was ready to go to the garage make some thermite just to burn those witcby roy_okc - Prusa i3 and variants
First post... I've been watching the 3D printers for years, mostly RepRap kits, but never could figure out realistically what I would do with one, especially for the cost and limited configurability. A couple weeks ago, I realized I actually have a project that would be perfect for 3D prints, some customized Lego compatible pieces that will hold various electronic items for grandkids robotics Huby roy_okc - Prusa i3 and variants
