Bed leveling works great, detects glass surface, Using a screwdriver detecting distance can be set from cca 1mm to more than 10mm. Are you sure it's dead? The nozzle cooling fan is OFF by default (the extruder cooling one is constantly on). It turns on only if the gcode demands it (you can set when and how much it should cool the just printed plastic in the slicer).by cmaet - Prusa i3 and variants
Is there a way to connect the extruder fan to the board so that I can control it according to the hotend temperature? I hate turning the printer off all the time, and the constantly running extruder fan bothers me even more, since the printer sits next to my computer. I was thinking of adding a timer switch to it and connect the fan to the hotend heater: The fan would start when the hotend getsby cmaet - Prusa i3 and variants
I finaly gave up on the stock ALU hotbed... Nothing sticks to it, using hairspray or glue didn't help. Tape worked great, as long as I was printing small parts. When the parts became larger, they warped taking the tape with them (printed part was still perfectly stuck to the tape, but the tape lifted from the ALU printbed. The reason why I resisted the change for so long is the auto tramming. Theby cmaet - Prusa i3 and variants
Success! I sent an email to the support team, and they sent me the correct firmware. Works like a charm, now I can finaly use the whole platform size. @rwijnhov: I ordered this extruder: The stock extruder (printed) works just great for now with the PLA, I ordered the metal one to have a little more control over tension for flexible materials - it has a tensioning screw on top.by cmaet - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi everibody!... I just joined today. My Migbot Prusa i3 is alive now for a few days. I didn't opt for any upgrades, since I found all of the items, that I would be interested in, for a fraction of the cost (the metal extruder and the auto bed leveling probe). I just ordered the metal extruder upgrade and the auto level probe, for 15eur for both (from Ebay.de). I am a total newb regarding arduiby cmaet - Prusa i3 and variants
