Ax - thanks a lot - your always a great contribution and help !!!by Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
Ax - thanks - thats good to know - in case of a needed backup ;-) but then they have there 3 different versions - or at least 2 of each kind whats the best having my autolevel kicked out - 1.0.2 or the stable or the one just labeled "Marlin" ?by Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
@ Wes78 I purchased the same one about 3 weeks ago - had the same questions Let me tell you - the support of this company - I bought it via EBay isnt really that good - but I have to say with a few mods the printer is for that price quite decent. Ive seen much more worse products coming out of china ;-) - Powersupply - use what you have - if you just have 110 - -use it - defenitely a better cablby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
General SPEED question: Got mine working so far so good - quite good results - but for the most time I have to tune the FEEDRATE on the LCD while printing down to get a good result. My question: Is this in the LCD while printing tuneable "FEEDRATE" a sort of "over all general" speed for the printer and is therefore also in Slic3r a designatet valule to implement this alreade in the G-Code ? Iby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
well Ill give it a try - like I said - will flash different settings and see I got the code from there - Ahhhhhhhh - wiring pictures - a little bit late - ahhhhhhhhhhh readme about firmware - a litle bit late ;-)))))) that is also the response what I was asking for from the day on getting my printer well better late than never - would have maybe saved a few hours try and errorby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
the manual home position is active - so not commented out the bed center is commented out I am not at the printer right now - I think Ill have to play around and tweak - try and error more or less ;-)by Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
I tried with that line yes - but no luck maybe the values are out of range or something Ill guess I have to do it via a G-Code Start setup :/by Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
@ Daniel hi there - I am a total newbie to 3D printing as well - with the same machine - same board I am on a Mac but I think PC should be the same - I installed a FTDI Driver - its a VPC Virual Com Port Driver from that should provide you whith USB Serial Driver via which you can connect to the Arduino aka MKS Board Select in the Arduino IDE (also downloadable) your Board - Arduino Mega 2560 -by Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
CENTERING the print question I know - a lot talked about in here, BUT how can I properly set it up in the Firmware - NOT in the Start G-Code. Z-Axis is more or less figured out - I am using right now the manual Z-Endswitch instead of the sensor. If I home on the printer - its X-42, Y-55 in the LCD Whenever I send a poitive move via G-Code, the Nozzle "jumps" to a point way in the bed and printby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
thanks - Ill give it a try when I got my sensor back in - right now I am back to the good old Z endstop switch to start fiddling around ;-)by Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
@ gwc2795 - did you mean by chance me ? ;-) In case of - my G-Code beginning of that file: I guess I messed something up in there - I guess I have to dial the right values in the Slicer Software - also for the Z Offset ? M190 S70.000000 M109 S210.000000 ;Sliced at: Thu 12-11-2015 15:56:05 ;Basic settings: Layer height: 0.1 Walls: 1.2 Fill: 20 ;Print time: 27 minutes ;Filament used: 0.635m 1.0gby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
@ Ax: thanks - leveling went pretty smooth according to your good instructions - but same problem - startetd printing and again ran into the bed. Original Z Offset was 0.8 - new one with instructions came to 1.1 - set it up in FW and flashed it - but like I said - without good result. Could it be that the wrong values are implemented in the G-Code while slicing - I print from the SD card - gotby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
yes - so is it right that even flashing it with the FW that shows that "extended" menue structure - it doesnt update that one - still the same poor old litte menues ?? or did anyone fiind an idea of getting the "full" menue on the LCD ?? Found the proper FTDI driver - deaktivated the Apple original one - should work ;-) but as I said - not the full LCD next question if I may ask: still having pby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi Everyone !!! I am brandnew to this Forum - and a brandnew owner of the same printer ;-) Read yesterday the whole 26 pages and found a lot and usefull information ! Let me indrodue: Bought via EBay one of these - my first 3D printer - from China TL Maker or something. Nice contact to the guy from EBay and nice contact to the seller in China. TILL - ich gave a positive evaluation on EBay for tby Marty77 - Prusa i3 and variants
