But you can test to see how it behaves at increasing speeds, then you find your own setting for the max speed of the machine. Hello All Heating up the J - Type Hot End to 185 and I noticed this curve on the graph (See Attachment). Is normal for it to do this, the overheat and then drop temp and over heat. Is there a better way to keep constant Temp? I have already changed TEMP_HYSTERESIS in Configuration.h to 2. Should I leave it at the default 3 or am I crazy for wanting a tighter temp range? Hello everyone, I was able to get an aluminum frame made by jigsaw and files. Is there a reason why the heat bed carriage or squished frog only has 1 LM8UU bearing on one side and not 2 like on the other side?by RickK3DNOB - Prusa i3 and variants

I will have to say that when you mentioned in your post about laser cut parts, you were spot on. I routed 6mm plywood on the original I3 frame to find it was out of square by .02 inch.
