Mine is bouncing twice on all axis as well when reaching the end stops, I think that's a normal behaviour in Marlin code.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm on the top of rc-fix Marlin branch and yes I have the 2020 i3. (Last month).by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteav8r1 I'm going to email Folger directly about this, but I'll post it here, too: Why did my 2020 kit come with so much extra hardware? Same for me, but still good to have spare parts. For example I had like 20 m3x30 that I never used when assembling the kit... Here is a picture of what was left after full assembly.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Here is mine without the BLTouch as mine is still lost somewhere :/by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Or flip the extruder connector works too.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Mine looks lost :/ when yours has been sent? To which country? According to the tracking number mine is still on a plane since April 28th.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
LOL It's in the garage just next to the trash :p but thanksby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteflatlander Cyril's rig looks like a museum piece. Can you be more specific? :pby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteawmyhr So I got the BLTouch and installed it on my FT 2020. Everything seems to work well except one small detail: when I run the G29 for auto level (after a successful G28 auto home), the BLTouch goes into "alert" mode immediately and from there the Z axis only goes up for each of the 9 points. Has anyone else experienced this? Lucky you I'm still waiting for mine but the tracking number iby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
I was also surprised to not have any taxes or fees to pay Regarding the wire shortening, cuting them / solder them and protect with heat shrinkable tubes took me 1H tops. (I suggest you to buy a third hand it makes it faster). And here is my current setupby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Buy a bltouch that will act as a z stop and allow you to use auto leveling feature Otherwise the one provided is doing the job for me (still waiting for my bltouch to arrive).by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteUltiFix QuoteCyril Yes. Is that a response to my question? Not sure... Thanks! -Ulti Yes I put the hotend fan on 12v with a switch this way I can enable the fan only when I'm printing. We could also use others pins to have auto fan for hotend but for now this is how I deal with. And the cooling fan is wired on d9.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Yes.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Here are the STL of the files I used for my custom fan duct / back plate. Those are not perfect. I'm using Fusion360 (free for hobbyist).by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Don't buy that, I ordered a bltouch for 30 bucks (that should arrive soon).by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteTrilithon You have a link or STL file for that duct and mount? Nope as I designed them myself but the models had issues I had to fix with some glue / plastic melting...by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
So I finally added a cooling fan, and printed a benchy with 0.1 as layer height, slowing done the speeds of perimeters to 60%. It came out pretty well particularly regarding the bridges even if I had a Y shifting (I guess this is my bad motor I managed to fixed myself). Here are some pictures, let me know what do you think. Quotetjnamtiw You say that you set the 'thickness' in Cura to 0.9 mm". I assume you mean the wall thickness with three passes. BUT if you look at the beginning of your generated GCode, you will see IF YOU ARE USING A 0.4 mm nozzle, that the intended wall thickness is supposed to be 0.48 mm. That's why you run a single wall test piece and measure the top one or two layers to see if they are 0.48 mby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
I found pretty useful.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
I would like some advice here. While calibration cubes are perfect (temperature and extrusion), I have issue with any "floating" parts: I have hole and overextrusion like thingy. The bottom is the worst: I'm printing with pla @195 degres Thanksby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotetjnamtiw Having a motor kind of dead is like being 'kind of pregnant'. From what you said, it sounds like your bed has a tight spot, not the motor. Correct? Is this a start up situation or have you been running? Take the belt off of the motor and move the Y carriage. Does it slide easily from one end to the other? If not, you don't have your bearings and/or your rods lined up correctby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Well I think my y motor is kind of dead. When I unplug it and turn it by hand, it sometimes gets stuck and I have to apply a lot of force to make it pass this hard point. But this is random... I notice that because when moving the bed by hand it sometimes get stuck in the middle of its course. During a y movement I also notice that the motor skips steps when he encounter a such hard spot. Thanks! I think I will stop by lee or rp Glad to ear that I'm not alone in this area with this kit !by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
I switched to a 8gb sd card and now it looks to works fine. Well I still can't print anything As I don't have received my thermistor replacement nor the fan :/ If someone know if I can find spare parts in Vancouver, bc...by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
FolgerTech will send me replacement thermistor for the hot end... I don't know when but they will... (mine was shattered due to a too tight screw). On another topic, I have the 12864 Full Graphic Controller, but I can't find a way to make the SD Card work... it's saying echoD init fail, I tried to reduce the SPI speed but no luck. My SD CARD is a 4GB Kensington SDHC with one partition in FAT16.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
I meant that mine are both facing in the same way yours looks wrong.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Mine are in the same position.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Bad news for me. Hot end thermistor is busted (actually broken because looks like it has been tight too much And fan also not working... I will try to reach them in order to get replacement parts. Also I had hard time to make fit the bearing to the plastic parts. I had to cut them a bit to make them fit (even by pushing really hard...).by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
Just got my kit :p everything looks ok, PLA part looks good too, does'nt seems to miss anything :p This is RevA, not sure what the difference is with the RevB. Steppers already mounted on RAMPS and the Mega already plugged to daughter board.by Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
You have some merge conflict that needs to be fixed if you want to make it worksby Cyril - Prusa i3 and variants
