I have solved it all now. I use an optocoupler and connects it to the heatbed control signal. When the bead switches off, the heating fan also switches off. Thanks for trying to solve my problem. You always learn... :-)by OlaA - General
Have now sat for a couple of hours without being able to figure out what G code should I use to turn on/off fan #3 on the Geeetech GT2560 board? Have tried with M107 and M106 but do not understand which port, pin I must have in the code. What should the code look like?by OlaA - General
OK I'm a little slow. You see that there are fan connections on the card. One of these should be usable. What G code should I use to turn on/off fan #3 on the Geeetech GT2560 board?by OlaA - General
QuoteVDX ... read into the G-code "M42" - OK And where on the board can I find a pin who is ok to use? And what number is that pin. Please be a little more generous with explaining!by OlaA - General
I have a heat fan who warm the printing box environment. Where can I find an output signal who indicate when the print is finished from Geeetech gt2560? Marlin 1.9. so the heater turns off. 0v wen finished an 5v when printing, some thing like that. There is a piezo summer who you can activate so you get a signal when finished. How to activate this? Thanks Ola A.by OlaA - General
So the conclusion, from Use less UK trying is that I can use the 2.0… version. That's nice. Ther is not so much respon on my topic in this forum. Regard Ola A.by OlaA - Firmware - Marlin
The Geeetech board have GT2560. It's Geeetech I3 Pro B. Thanks :-)by OlaA - Firmware - Marlin
Is Geeetech i3 Pro compatible with Marlin 2.1 ? I use 1.9 today but curious to try 2.1 ! Tanks :-) Ola A. in Sweden.by OlaA - Firmware - Marlin
Quotepeepsalot Yes it can be difficult converting Configuration between versions of Marlin. I always use a diff/merge tool such as WinMerge (Windows) or Meld (cross platform) to make sure all the settings get moved over appropriately and that I'm not missing anything. It can be quite tedious and time consuming though to look over the entire diff though. Thank you for this tips :-) I'm goingby OlaA - Firmware - Marlin

OK :-) Thank you for replay and link. I'm going to try the test pattern. Yesterday evening I ,(my wife complained) configered the files Configuration.h, Configuration_adv.h who came with 1.1.9. Earlier I have used this files from 1.1.4. After that I didn't got the earlier errors when activate Linear Advance. Everywhere you read about calibrate the K value the talk about 40, 50, 60 and so on. But if I try to use this I got the error message. All tools give this type of values. Where can I find tools I can use and give me the right values. Thank you for your replay :-)by OlaA - Firmware - Marlin
I tried to start using Linear Advance in the new Marling. I calibrate everything and tried in the firmware code to set K to 40. When I then compile in Arduino IDE I get this message: LIN_ADVANCE_K must be a value from 0 to 10 . If I use 4.0 then every thing is OK but I don't now the effect at printing. My Prusa i3 clone was working fine with Marlin 1.1.8. I had the ordinary red PCB MK2a bed. Then I switched to RepRap mendel Heatbed MK3 aluminum plate 3mm. Now I get the thermal runaway error all the time and the temperature is never reached. I have checked the voltage, NTC and the temp all is correct. I have tried longer time and hysterized without results in the configuartion_adv.h I think it nby OlaA - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Yes Yes Yes Thank you very much and a big hug for your dedication. Everything looks good now. Now I can shave off my gray hair. I took the option 2. Regard Ola A.by OlaA - Prusa i3 and variants
Hello there! I'm a newbie on this. I have a geeetech gt2560 rev A and Marlin 1.1.6. I want to use the "Smart Controller LCD 12864" but I can't get it right. When I activate the line REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC and try to compile I got the error message: In file included from sketch\ultralcd.cpp:79:0: sketch\ultralcd_impl_DOGM.h:66:27: fatal error: _Bootscreen.h: No such file or directoryby OlaA - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteDust One of your micro stepping jumpers (under the Y stepper driver) is missing or just not working.. Check all 3 jumpers exist and that there is a bit of metal in the jumper. Finally. Now everything works as it should. Some of the jumpers probably had a bad connection. Thank you for your attention and commitment.by OlaA - Prusa i3 and variants
Yes of course :-) I forgot them. I'm going to check them out, and hold my thumbs. Thanks.by OlaA - Prusa i3 and variants
Hey! I am a beginner of this. I have uploaded Marlin 1.1.6 to Geeetech 2560 rev. A in my Prusa i3 clone. In Configuration h. I have 7 as motherboard. Has set DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {78.74,78.74,2399,102.5} Everything works except that the Y axis moves 4 times too far. The X-axis is perfect. As I see it, X have the same physical conditions as Y. What do I miss? Regard Ola A. Linköping Sweby OlaA - Prusa i3 and variants
Hello there! My nozzle have PID activated of course. When it reach the right temp then the LED for it on the mainboard start flicker and the temp is perfect, stable. My heated bed also had PID activated now. The temp reaches but after a while printing 6 min. something like that it starts to go down and never reach the correct temp again, even if the bed LED is lightning. Hello there! I bought a cheap 3D printer on E-bay, CTC I 3 Reprap Prusa. It's a nice construction. It's using GT2560 Rev A. board and Marling, the version I don't now. Everything works nice EXCEPT. - 8 years agoHello there! I'm new on this forum and also new with 3D printers. I try to build one Cartesian type because I like to develop things my self. I can see that I'm going to use a double filament feeder. I think its expensive and heavy to use two stepper motors so I thinking about use only one stepper motor and a gear who change which feeder to use.
