Quick update for anyone who stumbles across this. There was a bug between the SKR V1.3 controller and Marlin that has been resolved. I'm not sure which commit did the trick since I hadn't merged changes from Marlin's bugfix-2.0.x branch into my local copy for a couple of months. The answer to my post on Stack Exchange gives a more thorough answer: https://3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/by costmo - Controllers
The RepRap Guru company website has been down (SSL errors) since at least July, and directs to a "domain for sale" page since at least November. For those of you who need the build manual or firmware, I dug up the links from The Wayback Machine and posted the files here: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1NGohxC-hIU0bx6sNZ8xoxi5AdWY1sHXe RepRap Guru still has products for sale on Amazoby costmo - Prusa i3 and variants
I think that it's safe to assume that RepRap Guru is no longer operating as a legitimate company, despite the fact that someone still sells products on Amazon using their name and account. Scum bag(s). At any rate, I have no hope of ever retrieving the files I need from RRG, so I tracked them down on The Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) and posted them in case anyone else is looking. That’s along the lines of what I was thinking, but with much more detail than I knew how to confirm or deny. Thank you!by costmo - Reprappers
I am building a 24V printer, and while sourcing parts, I came across this Amazon listing for an MK3 heated bed.: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TCL9OR8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A7Y75ROU9VMVI&psc=1 The product description includes this line: Running 24V on the 12V terminals will heat up the heatbed to 100 degree in only 2 minutes. I have never heard of anyone wiring 24V to the 12V teby costmo - Reprappers
The website has had an SSL error for quite a few months, and now it redirects to a "domain for sale" page. They have failed to respond to several emails over a period of a few months. I would give up on them, but they still have products for sale on Amazon, which seems rather scum-baggy to me, if they have, in fact, closed up shop. On a related note, anyone know how to get access to the build mby costmo - Prusa i3 and variants
In troubleshooting further, I discovered that I can set the junction deviation with this: M205 J0.020 I would then expect to be able to have that setting persist with this: M500 But power cycling the controller reverts the setting. Am I mistaken to believe that M500 should be saving this setting into persistent storage? P.S. Any way this thread can be moved to the Marlin forum? I posted to tby costmo - Firmware - Marlin
I just realized that my previous post on this topic is in the Turkish RepRap user group. Woops. The original post is here: I also posted the question here: [3dprinting.stackexchange.com] The long and the short of it is that uncommenting the JUNCTION_DEVIATION_MM setting doesn't appear to do anything. When I power cycle the controller (SKR 1.3), I have to go through the printer's menus (Configuby costmo - Controllers
Nobody? Is it possible that this is a bug in the SKR 1.3? If I don't hear back, this isn't something I've done wrong, and I should report it as a bug?by costmo - Firmware - Marlin
Should I report this as a bug? Am I mistaken to believe that having #define JUNCTION_DEVIATION_MM 0.02 uncommented is all I should need to have a default junction deviation set when the controller board boots? Is there anything else I can try or any other information i can look into to provide? Thanks again.by costmo - Firmware - Marlin
Yes, that's the error. Sorry for not posting the exact words. I haven't actually seen it for over a week. I'm just coming back to this issue since I got everything else working on the printer. I did as you suggested with no change to the symptoms. Although I did try exactly what you suggested, I knew it wouldn't change anything. I already had the define for JUNCTION_DEVIATION_MM outside of anyby costmo - Firmware - Marlin
I posted this on Stack Exchange already: [3dprinting.stackexchange.com] I'd like to repeat my question here since this is group group is more focused on my specific issue. This is a copy of the question on Stack Exchange: I have built a 3D printer with Marlin bugfix-2.0.x forked from github. I am attempting to set the default value for junction deviation so that I don't have to change it throby costmo - Firmware - Marlin
