Good idea ordering 10 sets of frames.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
I use slic3r 1.2.9 because i had trouble running s3d on my winXP.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
My i3 frame can be moved around with no change in alignment.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants

Maybe you can Google "Marlin firmware calibration".by RRuser - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Springs only help when adjusting from one side. If you replace the springs with a nut, then you just do a hard-adjust instead, from both sides (hex driver on top, wrench or pliers holding the nut on the bottom). Springs don't really do anything else, such as a shock absorber on a car would.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm ordering another one, so yes, it is working great. Waiting on new frames. The rods are straight, power supply is strong, glass is not broken, frame is solid, and the powder coating has not come off anywhere. I chose the E3Dlite6 and it works great for PETG. Nothing was missing, and several parts had extras. The PLA-printed extruder took a little hand-finishing before using. There were two dby RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Sounds like a heat-warp issue, or a loose frame.by RRuser - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Quote if i press .1,1, or 10 it barely turns and makes sort of a higher pitched woo-wee-woo sound Adjust your extruder stepper driver.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Also, lead screws (especially 4-start) can auto-rotate down when the power is off. M5 will not, and thus will keep your Z motors in step.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
If it is a 3-point design, you could do it without springs. Theoretically you could also do it with 4-point, but you might have a difficult time.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
I don't think the relay makes that much heat. And the large mass of the steel will absorb a lot of heat but still not get very warm, if it gets warm at all. Also, fortunately, steel only expands half as much as aluminum.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Nice. Even a setting of 10 seems to be too much. Maybe 15 would be good, to only stop really fast, small, movements.by RRuser - Slic3r
I print only in PETG with Slic3r 1.2.9 Lower the temps to reduce stringing. 220C will have very little strings. 245 a lot more. I do 2 mm retraction, if the nozzle will be traveling very far. Here are the settings: retraction: 2mm retract speed: 25 min travel after retract: 50 wipe: yes Also if it's a small part, print four of them so they cool down before the nozzle comes back around (I donby RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Besides the steel plate instead of frame rods, the Createc steel i3 that I use also has steel X carriage, and LCD-in-frame, which i prefer:by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Do you have anything in the custom Gcode section?by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Sounds like the effect of the Vibration Limit setting: Printer Settings > General > Vibration Limit (bottom of page) Works good if set to 10 Hz. But if set to 4 or 5, it does the start, stop, start thing.by RRuser - Slic3r
Maybe the power supply cannot handle all three at once.by RRuser - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Was going to mention baby stepping also. I did not know you could disable the Z steppers between Z moves. I guess that does make it easy to hand-turn the couplings.by RRuser - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Try increasing the stepper driver voltage.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
If looking at the marlin program itself, where does it say the version?by RRuser - Reprappers
Also the lower layers look over extruded; fixing that might help with stringing on the upper layers.by RRuser - Slic3r
Position does not matter, as long as the threads are tight and the wires don't get jerked around.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
No because the thermal pads let the glass float over the hump. They are pads, not adhesive.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Folger is now sold on Aliexpress? I though only Chinese could sell there.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Nice job Lars. I wish it were available when I got my steel Createc, although I'm happy with it.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
You can just put glass on your current bed if not humped too much. Just use Gino (thermal) pads on the corners like this:by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
Any reason why the product was just not ordered through Paypal, which will refund fully if product is not delivered?by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
The extruder that my steel Createc came with was also printed in PLA but was very good, with no warp. However I'm now printing it in PETG.by RRuser - Prusa i3 and variants
