For the 8825 you need to solder a wire to put it into the correct decay mode. On mine it was already replaced by a 000 Ohm resistor. PID auto tune is great! When I would try to get the bed up to 100 it seemed like it could just barley do it and would take a extremely long time to go from 90 to 100. After running PID auto tune it just slowly keeps climbing to 100 and doesn't stop and it's way faster than before.by msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

I would try glue I have used a glue stick but now I have been using elmers from a bottle diluted with a few drops of water applied with a brush. I like the brushed on better because I pretty much get the same finish on the bottom as on the bare glass.by msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

I agree with you guys that it's something with the extruding. Here is a cube with the multiplier set to .85 I still see the pattern and I am under extruding. When I calibrated the extruder steps I was about 8mm short out of 100. I have all three jumpers under the drivers so I should be set to 16 microsteps right? Are you saying I should do the mod to be a 32? Here is a video of the filamentby msaeger - Printing

I am getting a diagonal stripe pattern in the side of prints. Here is a 20 x 20 x 10 cube as an example. It prints to the correct size I just get this diagonal pattern.This was printed with .2 mm layer height and .35 on the first layer I used rectilinear for the infill and top and bottom layers. Have you tried a brim instead of a raft? I tried rafts and was seeing the same issues as you. I have found the brim to be enough to hold the piece in place it's also quick and easy to remove.by msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

I think it's good especially for the price. You can read through the 50 page thread about it on here. As you will see in the thread about it you will most likely be missing parts but it sounds like folgertech comes through sending replacements. I was only missing screws so I just bought them at the hardware store. Check eBay for 2020 i3. They sell it on there for 299.99 with the display and freby msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

I want to add a print cooling fan to my 2020 i3. I want to just add a second fan with a duct and not redirect the extruder cooling fan. Does anyone have a link to a setup that will mount to the stock folgertech 2020 i3.by msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

It's not a hardware problem I get the same thing and mine has been printing fine for a while now. The solution is in the huge thread someplace but like you I can't find it in there. You can do combine infill in slic3r. That will let you specify a low layer height for the exterior shells and do a thicker layer for infill.by msaeger - Printing

When my bare glass would stop working I cleaned it with alcohol then it would be fine again. I figured it was something building up on there like you are saying. Now I have been using the glue stick because I had to use it when I tried ABS and I haven't cleaned it I just keep putting one more glue.by msaeger - General

What slicer and slicer settings did you use? I have been using repetier and slic3r and had not seen this but I tried matter control and I got output like this. I figured it was a setting for the speed or something because I didn't really dig through all the settings in matter control to see if it was setup the same as slic3r.by msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

I actually tried mine without the fan and it didn't get hot but I put it back on. I will just buy one that doesn't have a fan. If I can find one anyway.by msaeger - Reprappers

I am using the file from folgertech on my 2020 i3 and it works. I have issues with the home buttons in repetier but it prints just fine. I guess I don't know what the max for the heated bed but it has to be over 100 they say to use 100 for abs.by msaeger - Prusa i3 and variants

Thanks for the info I went to aliexpress because I couldn't find a 30 amp one anyplace else but if 20 is enough yes there are lots of those on eBay and Amazon.by msaeger - Reprappers
