Quotetpb0420 Alright I need help Im starting to throw stuff. The Z axis wont lower after performing a g29. It just starts printing in the air at the height of the endstop tripping. I had it running perfectly and then I started touching files and messed it up. I have my offset set to -9.2 like i had it before and i have the min software endstops set to false. Also, once again completely impressed by Simplify3d. The print below used supports for the angled portion, and even though 3d printed nylon has a tensile strength of 4800psi, while removing this print from the bed it (unexpectedly, but most welcomed) tore free from the supports and left them stuck to the bed. 10/10, would buy Simplify3d again.by therippa - Prusa i3 and variants
If anyone plans on trying to print Taulman's Bridge Nylon, you'll find the spool hole is way too small to fit the 2020 bar the Foglertech uses, so I made this small secondary holder that fits below the main holder (position it so it gives clearance to a normal spool fitted on the 2020 bar, so you can keep both spool holders mounted at the same time and switch between the two as needed). Quotebruceleroy Hello all!! Just got my printer together and have had several successful prints. The problem that I am having is that every time I change a setting in Slic3r the heated bed will remain on during prints. It comes on and heats properly but then it will not turn off once the printing starts. Quotewatlooazn Need help with clarifying how to attach the extruder's fan's wire According to the picture I attached, I should be using 1 meter of 22 gauge wire. But Ive only had 16 gauge wire that ive been using so far. I cant find any 22 gauge in my kit. 1) Was the 22 gauge a typo? Quoteanimoose @therippa, what did you print the bearing holders with? I would guess ABS or PETG work better than PLA because they have a little more flexibility. ABS. The outer shell layers delaminated a little bit, but it's still sturdy.by therippa - Prusa i3 and variants
Also, I rescind my rescission of the Igus Drylin bushings. After installing them on the Y and X axis, I reported I had some nasty vibration on Y. I replaced them with some Amazon 5-star rated LM8UU's (that were crap), and while there was noise, there was no vibration that affected prints and I was able to print some new Y-axis holders with no problems.
