helllo, I am using an anet printer a friend of mine bought, we made some test prints after the assembly and we have some printing issues, these are two pictures, I hope they are clear enough. Basically where the letters are you can see like a shadow of the letter on both side, while where there is no letter we get some small gaps.by Kalle - Printing
QuoteSupermec How are you printing the print? Is it via USB from Repetier Host or are you printing from a file on the SD card? I am printing from a file on the SD card. QuoteSupermec If you are printing from SD card, then either the printer is losing its datum point or missing steps, or the slicer has screwed up the gcode file. If the gcode file contains errors then the print will keep going wroby Kalle - Printing
Hello, something strange start to happen. My last two prints have both translated after roughly 40 minutes. I am attaching a picture. I first thought that was a firmware issue, so I flashed back the old marlin version I was successfully using but after a successful print the problem arise again. Does anyone have a clue on what it can be?by Kalle - Printing

Quotethe_digital_dentist I see two areas where extrusion failed- were they along the X axis or the Y axis when you printed the part? If they were along the X axis, I think you have an intermittent wire going to the extruder motor. Can you post a few pictures of the printer? The extruder carriage moves a lot so the wires connecting to it bend a lot. If the radius of the bend is too small, theby Kalle - Printing
QuoteFloyd Check and make sure your filament is being fed evenly and not skipping or slipping on the motor shaft. checked is not skipping or slipping QuoteFA-MAS Also is that the start of that loop? no is not, it is at the half part QuoteFA-MAS Edit, looking at the skirt back there, if that lifted part is the end of it, looks like it moved and retracted a lot, quickly. QuoteFloyd Looks like the tip is too close and it cannot extrude. I am letting the print go and it keep doing it exactly at the same point, now it is much thinner on that point of the print, it must be something else.by Kalle - Printing
Hello, I am having a problem that I do not how to solve, the extruder stops only in one part of the print. I am attaching a picture of the problem. I am trying to print this item. Quotebgkdavis The arms are probably OK for now, but you should definitely look at making a set of carbon arms, the acrylic arms break. I will look into making carbon arms, is anyone selling them already? In the meantime I cutted new acrilyc arms and now it prints fine. On the left with old arms on the right the new ones.by Kalle - Fisher
QuoteDADIY Make yourself a set of carbon fibre replacement arms - you won't be disappointed. There's lots of details in this forum but here's a link to get you started. I will look for carbon fiber replacement, in the meantime can you confirm if I need to replace the rods when they are so ruined? QuoteMartoh did you remove the protective pvc film on the rods ? yes I didby Kalle - Fisher
Thanks for the input bgkdavis, I checked all what you suggested and now is printing slightly better compared to the initial prints. Some of the plexy rods still have parts that are ruined like this ones. Should I get new plexy rods? I love this printer but I new to deltas.by Kalle - Fisher
Hello, my Fisher started to do prints with problems recently. I have no clue what it can cause the issue. I moved the printer a lot because I showed it to friends. I am attaching some reference pics, hope someone can point me in the right direction.by Kalle - Fisher
to me looks more like a RepStrap, a reprap has printed parts too. edit:spellingby Kalle - Look what I made!

Hello, I am using the reprapDiscount controller. When I start from SD printing the printer first auto-home (G28), I would like it to set the position instead with G92. Where can I set this? Thanks in advance for any help or tip to help me solve this. Hello, I am using kliment-Sprinter-012855c with a RAMPS 1.4 It reads 69 degress with the hotend off, if I turn it on it heats up, temperature reading stops at 130 degrees but the temperature of the hotend, just keep going up. Thanks all of you for the answers, I did some more prints today using the raft and they look a little bit better, at least all the layers are printed but the sides are not flat (will take a picture later). I feel like I am going in the right direction. 420e Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Have you set your Z home and end stop to put the > nozzle right on tby Kalle - General
I checked the Z axis movement telling it to move 50 mm and it did move for 50 mm looks like it's calibrated. Now I try increasing the flow rate in the firmware, I use sprinter.by Kalle - General
Hello, I am trying to get my first print. I am using SFACT and Pronterface. I did calibrate the printer using the calculator from prusajr and the extruder extrudes just the right amount of filament when I tried it. If I revert the connector of the endstop the board does not power up. I placed the endstop at the bottom but when pressing home it goes up. Also Y is reversed, but it bother me the Z one.by Kalle - RAMPS Electronics
Hello, when I tell my printer to home the Z home is on top, while the Y is on the front, can I revert the home position somehow? I already tried to change this settings //// ENDSTOP SETTINGS: // Sets direction of endstops when homing; 1=MAX, -1=MIN #define X_HOME_DIR -1 #define Y_HOME_DIR -1 #define Z_HOME_DIR -1 they don't work for this scenario.by Kalle - RAMPS Electronics
Thanks Sublime! It works now. I understood what the problem has been in the first place, I uncommented these lines // uncomment one of the following lines for RAMPS v1.3 or v1.0, comment both for v1.2 or 1.1 // #define RAMPS_V_1_3 // #define RAMPS_V_1_0 it's supposed to be done just for V 1.3 I was having the same problem of this guy. Thanks again. Now I just need to solder one cable aby Kalle - RAMPS Electronics
yes the motherboard is set to 3 #define MOTHERBOARD 3 probably I need the settings for the version 1.2 where can I find them? Or does anybody knows what I should modify? Do I need to upload all the sketches to the arduino or just the sprinter one?by Kalle - RAMPS Electronics
I tried to manually move all the 3 axies and they move. It really puzzle me, especially because the extruder is driven by the wrong pololu I really have no clue what to do next, I could try to move the pololu driver to another position, just to see if the others are fried. Any opinions on this?by Kalle - RAMPS Electronics
The wiring seems ok, I say seems because I didn't wire the motors myself, but all the cables are connected to the board in the same order, so the wiring should be ok I guess. Are there any pictures to check the wiring? How can I check if the pololu are working? Building the machine it is the easiest part!by Kalle - RAMPS Electronics
