Standard Fisher Beta, built by me; you'll probably want to rebore the Bowden tube end. Spare Bowden tube thrown in; also most of a spool of white PLA and a sealed one of "silver" PLA. I'd rather deliver it myself in Bucks/Berks/Oxon/Cambs/London than consign it to the post in an assembled state. Sensible offers welcome; I'm looking for about £500.by RogerBW - For Sale
I am not aware of any mode of PLA failure that will render it un-removable. When I clogged nozzles, I got them clear by a combination of repeated heating and poking with a narrow wire (fuse-wire if you can still get it).by RogerBW - Fisher
I'm not a great solderer, but I found that gaffer-taping down each endstop cable got the job done.by RogerBW - Fisher
It may be that I'm misunderstanding what's wrong, so please don't take this the wrong way, but re ①: are you really, absolutely, 100% sure that you've got the connector the right way round? The photos at worked for me: It really didn't take any force to connect/disconnect at all. (I've just managed to snap my top lever while fiddling with the idler tension. Ho hum.)by RogerBW - Fisher
I've sent my feedback to RRP, but it has a lot of points in common with yours. I note that they've now modified the effector documentation to show the alignment notches on the three layers that make up the core of it.by RogerBW - Fisher
Eh well. The clearance didn't work; the filament doesn't want to move more than a few mm forward or backward, whatever temperature I set. Thanks for your help, but I fear it's tech support time.by RogerBW - Fisher
Thanks. I did get a fairly pointy end with a bit of thready filament on the tip when I took it apart, but that didn't help clear it. Nor did gently heating the nozzle with a small blowtorch. My wife eventually managed to dislodge what seems to have been a plug of PLA, using 0.4mm beading wire, and I'll put everything back together later and hope for the best. Once the 0.4mm nozzle is on the storby RogerBW - Fisher
This may be really obvious to people who know what they're doing. After several prints with moderate success, the nozzle started dragging up the raft it was building (temperature too low?). I stopped the print, but now I get no filament out at all. There's no obvious protruding filament; I've taken the nozzle up to 235°C and tried to extrude hoping that the blockage would melt, but the hobbed inby RogerBW - Fisher
Fair enough. That loads without reporting anything. I'll give it a whirl...by RogerBW - Fisher
I've got my Fisher Delta Beta up and running - many thanks to Jean-Marc at RRP who patiently pointed out my errors. I've successfully printed Robot.g. Now I want to convert some of my own objects, or Thingiverse ones, from STL to gcode. The instructions at say I should get the Fisher.ini file and feed it to File -> Load Config Bundle - I do that, but get "0 presets successfully imported". Tby RogerBW - Fisher
