Gary, I'd be interested in feedback from your experience when you get it up and running! Ianby SSMagic - Fisher
Hi Gary, I too am fairly new to 3D printing but have developed my printer on the lines you suggest. I have the fan on my Fisher1 connected to FAN0 and I'm still experimenting with it. This mod should be used with caution as when the hot end is at a high temperature and the fan is not running, or stops prematurely, then the heat from the hot end could damage other effector parts. That said, I cby SSMagic - Fisher
Thanks for your help, cracked it I think! Had to rule out the IPhone addressing... I've got an Android! I have used ElmoC's suggestion of using the IP address for the web link, but I also applied a bit of logic, I ordered the IP commands in ascending order of the corresponding M Codes e.g. M540 P0xBE:0xFF:0xFF:0xFF:0xFF:0x01 ; MAC Address (must be unique on your network) M550 Preprapfisheby SSMagic - Duet
I made up a set from solid carbon fibre rod but ran into a problem that when the ball ends were glued on, the pneumatic pressure resulting from the little air inside the end was pushing the end back off the rod and making it very difficult to get accurate length consistency, I had to wait for the epoxy glue to set hard before I could make another on the jig. I have since purchased carbon tube toby SSMagic - Fisher
I have been experiencing some intermittent difficulty in gaining web access to the Duet control interface on my RepRap Fisher. I'm currently working with the following configuration but had the same problem before upgrading from Firmware Version 1.12 and earlier web interface. Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet Firmware Electronics: Duet 0.6 Firmware Version: 1.16 (2016-11-08) Web Interfaceby SSMagic - Duet
Many thanks for help with the configuration file... that's done the trick after a few tweaks over the course of the evening! One thing I was confused about before seeing what you had done in the configuration file, was in association with the S3D "Temperature" configuration. I had assumed the "Temperature Identifier" was T1 for the effector and T0 for the bed heater, I see they should both T0 aby SSMagic - Fisher
Many thanks for the Simplify3D configuration file and suggestions re getting Slic3r working more reliably. I have already switched off background processing and my threads are set to 4 in Slic3r but it still crashes repeatedly. I spotted your use of S3D in one of your previous posts which prompted me to have a look at it. Will look out for a Slic3r update! Hopefully your configuration file willby SSMagic - Fisher
I have a Fisher1 with a Duet 0.6 Firmware Version: 1.16 (2016-11-08) & Web Interface Version: 1.13 Having experienced multiple crashes on Slic3r, despite trying the suggested fixes on the forum and configuring it to run with various Win10 compatibility mode settings, I have decided to invest in Simplify3D as an alternative. As I'm relatively new to 3D printing I'm seeking advice from anyonby SSMagic - Fisher
Re easy heatbed removal on the Fisher, I have fitted a JST dual line connector pair, available from RC modelling suppliers and ebay, in-line with the heatbed black & red thermistor wires and the existing thermistor PCB connector. The polarised JST connector plug and socket are thin enough to slip through the curved wiring slot in the Fisher base and will normally sit out of sight underneath tby SSMagic - Fisher
Please could someone point me in the direction of the Fisher 1 panel logo STL file, It does not seem to be on Github or on the RepRapPro or EMaker websites. I'm specifically looking for the EMaker teardrop logo that fits to the bottom cut-outs in the the Fisher 1 acrylic panels, the new logo does not have the double L shaped border, only the teardrop. Thanks!by SSMagic - Fisher
Was going to do as you suggest but found a couple of lamps at B&Q at a tenner each and put LED GU10 lamps in them. Runs nice & cool and does the job. Bought one at first but the two eliminates shadows. Have a mirror behind as well!by SSMagic - Fisher
I had some layer shifting and sparation problems on some larger prints and found it to be due to a mechnical problem after a reassembly of the hot end, It was my error, I had connected the hot end connector the wrong side of the print head fan and it fouled a rod at a wide point higher up in the print, although it was well clear of rods at lower print levels. I looked up layer shifting on one ofby SSMagic - Fisher
It's good to check all fasteners are secure periodically and apply a little locktight to anything that regularly loosens up with vibration. I use lithium lubricant, got it from the local bike shop. Use it sparingly and wipe off any excess. I also carefully remove the bed and clean out debris from underneath it periodically. Anyone got any suggestions for periodic head cleaning and removing unwaby SSMagic - Fisher
Hi, please could someone advise on the manufacturer (eSun?) & specific PLA colour name used by RepRap in the manufacture of their 3D printer green parts. I'd like to print some spares and upgrades to match my Fisher printer. Best Ianby SSMagic - Reprappers
