I've had a belly full of layer shifting and weird rotation problems. The last bout of problems almost pushed me over the edge!!! I have finally got to the bottom of the problem. The bearings had dried up! Gave them a good oiling and its back to better than ever!by jimmyjim - Fisher
Thanks, I've not checked that! I will check next time I run. Thanks Jimby jimmyjim - Fisher
The little fisher has been doing well, most prints being successful. I've started to have an odd problem. It prints the first layers ok, then probably every 2 or 3 layers its rotating around the centre line of the bed! I'm using the same slicing software I've always used and not put on any updated software on the printer. Can any one offer any ideas where the problem lies? A friend said it coby jimmyjim - Fisher
The new belts are now in, the little Fisher is back to perfect prints! I've noticed that I'm having to print higher temps now. I run "0" in the slicer, then manually set the temp as required, it was 210, when I started, I'm now running 245/250! I've had a quick look, it appears to be 19v and 60W, can't find anything! Any advice, please. Cheers Jimby jimmyjim - Fisher
My new belts have arrived!! All layer shifting problems have gone away! Ebay link for beltsby jimmyjim - Fisher
I've ordered from another supplier. If I get no joy this time, I'll switch to GT2 belts and pulleys. Thank you Jimby jimmyjim - Fisher
Thank you, I now realise my post was unclear! My original belt is 2mm pitch, the one off ebay was 2.5 pitch. I've yet to check how many teeth my pulleys are, (says 18 in the instructions).by jimmyjim - Fisher
I need to change my belts! I bought some MXL belting off Ebay, but the pitch is 2.5mm not 2mm. Any advice on belts?? Thank you Jimby jimmyjim - Fisher
How wrong was I!!! Its the belts slipping at the overlap!!by jimmyjim - Fisher
Thank you for the response. I think I have found the problem! The cap screws holding the effector had, as you suggest, come loose! Back to printing!!by jimmyjim - Fisher
I have change the arms (new carbon rods) and checked everything is secure.by jimmyjim - Fisher
I've been printing without too much trouble for a few months, however, I'm now having all sorts of layer problems. I can get so far, then the layer will shift across 2 or 3 mm, but I'm sure there is no belt slipping, as its still perfectly parallel. The other problem is a mystery 2 or 3mm jump between layers. This is not a silc3r problem, as I've tried to print previous successful prints with nby jimmyjim - Fisher
thanks. i now have some movement! the machine homes X Y and Z and then sits there. Slowly getting there!by jimmyjim - Fisher
