Latest. If I set M665 H to 163 from the default 161 I can get the head down to 4mm. I notice however the Z axis motor does not stop like the other two. If you touch the spindle you can feel and hear it still trying to turn. (although it doesn't) This lasts for around 30 seconds when it finally stops completely like the other 2. Also should the rise to the top of each axis trigger the microswitcby moggymoo - Fisher
Ignore this, put it in the wrong subject feed.by moggymoo - Fisher
I'd like to do the same, change to a smaller nozzle. (once I've got mine working, still can't get it to go down to the 4mm homing height).by moggymoo - Fisher
Yes the probe down is working fine on all locations and changes as it should from 0 to 1000. I'm using the commission procedure at The heatbed upgrade turned up today and I've fitted it, re-named the config file to suit, still the same although it looks to be around 10mm now instead of 15 but still not low enough.by moggymoo - Fisher
There's no config/override file in /sys These are the files in that directory as received on the mico SD card with the kit. Hi again. So I followed your helpful advise DC42 but sorry no change. Status so far. I'm getting the exact symptoms DanF124 is getting. Head stops about 15mm above. (Although head position says 4.0) M558 original is H4. So I changed it to H24 as suggested and did a calibration. When the head goes to the side during calibration it jumps up about 20mm then lowers to the base. After it's finished iby moggymoo - Fisher
Cheers, I'll try that sometime. I'm not in a rush to do things so faster probing doesn't bother me. It currently works as I've printed the robot and 3 extra feet to lift it off the worktop for better ventilation. Took over a week to build the thing in the first place! Lots of learning over the coming weeks.by moggymoo - Fisher
I went to the local Engineering show the other week. Plan was to buy a mini lathe. Came home with this Fisher 3D box of bits. Only thing missing was a jar of "patience" so I supplied my own. Took a week to make it with double/treble checking everything. Commissioning was straightforward apart from the Z Probe problem (mentioned on another forum feed). Solved easily enough. So as advised firstby moggymoo - Fisher
Mine was exactly the same. All I did was change M665 setting to H170. Now works perfectly.by moggymoo - Fisher
