Hoping the Duet 0.8 is a typo and you not dropping support for us old 0.6 owners.by DADIY - Duet
I think IO Maker has their own github site that might be different. Before you embark down the fisher route, unless you have the ability to cut sheet material like acrylic or aluminum you might be better off with the kossel style printer.by DADIY - Fisher
Make yourself a set of carbon fibre replacement arms - you won't be disappointed. There's lots of details in this forum but here's a link to get you started.by DADIY - Fisher
Check git hub - they have the 12xx and 13xx file names -by DADIY - Fisher
Is the 1.13a release stable and fixes the thermostatic fan, and does it support CPU temperature on Duet 0.6?by DADIY - Duet
Thanks for the update. I don't suppose you recall the eBay seller you got the clone from?by DADIY - Fisher
Has anyone come across a source of replacements for the bed probe posts. They appear to be M3 x 8mm standoffs. These are the part the cap head screws on the bed touch to show that the bed was probed. I checked the usual places and ebay but cannot find anything the same.by DADIY - Fisher
Hi JMG. Just wondered how this was holding up. Is it still working OK? If it is could you recommend a clone hot end that like yours?by DADIY - Fisher
Its really good to see that the Fisher kit is being actively supported again, have you got any other upgrade kits in mind? Perhaps the multi colour extruder?by DADIY - Fisher
In config.g near the bottom you should have this line - G31 X0 Y0 Z-0.1 P200 Increase the Z-0.1 part to change the starting height. I have mine set to Z-0.05 for better results. I also found that when changing these files its best to turn the printer off and back on and re calibrate as when making lots of changes they don't always seem to set right. I also found that running the bed calibrby DADIY - Fisher
I wish there was an automated way we could calibrate the bed. Or at least perhaps we could publish a list of comments to run and what to put in the corresponding H value. On a side note, I've had quite a few of the orginal green plastic parts fail so its work printing a spares kit once you get your printer working nicely.by DADIY - Fisher
Probably a daft question do we need the SAM3X_Release or SAM4X_Release version?by DADIY - Duet
Upgraded without a hitch. Uploads seem a little faster peaking for my first test at 386kib. Thanks Davidby DADIY - Duet
Hi All, When using the Duet DWC on an iPad the Auto Delta Configuration button disappears, I suspect its related to screen width as the same happens in Chrome when resizing the window. Is there a simple way to get this button back on narrower displays?by DADIY - Duet
Just thought I'd let you know that the update installed on my Duet 0.6 via the web interface without issue, it was a delight not having to plug into a PC to do it. Makes the upgrade process so much quicker. thanksby DADIY - Duet
Hi, Are you using an official E3D v6 hot end or a clone with your design, I understand that some of the clones are not the same dimensions as the official?by DADIY - Fisher
I'd also check that your three screws on your built plate are all the same height, stick your calipers over to be sure. Also check the contact points are tight as I found they can come loose and then they drift upwards a little bit. I'd also recommend you invest £4 in a glass bed, my local glass company cut me some circles in 2mm and 4mm float and only charged me £4 each. I then use doublby DADIY - Fisher
Hi David, Interestingly after upgrading to you 1.10+4 release I no longer need to add H-50 to get accurate temperatures. I'm about to start a test print to see how it gets on.by DADIY - Fisher
Thanks David, At least that confirms my suspicions. I didn't realize new firmware was out, I'd been keeping an eye on the firmware area and not the duet area. I will take a look at the new firmware.by DADIY - Fisher
Since adding a heated bed and adding the following to my config.g I can't extrude under 250c. It seems like the H parameter is being inherited by both thermistors. I'm wondering if I can add a H+50 to the hot end or perhaps I'm missing something completely. Setting currently in config.g M305 P0 R4700 T100000 B4008 H-50 ; M305 P1 R4700by DADIY - Fisher
Having used some of that rod from wickes, I would expect the carbon fiber to be much straighter. Also I only used 3mm rod and have not had any issues with it.by DADIY - Fisher
I was using an SSR as the Fisher is currently running at 19v and the only heat bed I could find that would fit was 12v.by DADIY - Fisher
Sounds like I'm having similar issues with a bad SSR. I just ordered the same as you from Amazon. Out of interest are you running this with heat sink and fans? I was only planning on switch 12v 10amps so was hoping not to need to do that.by DADIY - Reprappers
I got to the bottom of it, the cheap SSR25d relay I purchased from China didn't turn off when the duet turned off the heat bed, the led turns off but it doesn't actually cut the supply. A google search seems to suggest that there are a few fakes out there that do this.by DADIY - Fisher
So with the heat bed set as M305 P0 R4700 T100000 B4008 H-50 ; And the bed temperature set to 70c the heat bed didnt stop heating and went to 150c and didnt get turned off is there a setting Im missing to have the duet control the temperature?by DADIY - Fisher
Just to follow up. Setting R to 4700 makes a big difference. However I still need to apply H-50 to get accurate low temperatures. M305 P0 R4700 T100000 B3950 H-50 ; Also changing to B4008 doesnt seem to have any cold reading effect.by DADIY - Fisher
Not sure which resistor is in the Duet 0.6 but the hot end is set at R4700 so I set the same on the bed and instantly get much more sane results, I will just need to wait for everything too cool down to be sure. M305 P0 R4700 T100000 B4008 - although think3d recommend 3950 This is the heater I'm using.by DADIY - Fisher
Thanks DC42. I have set that to M305 P0 R1000 T100000 B4008 H-240 and it now correctly reads low temps. Is there a way to increase the sample rate of the temperature as it seems to over shoot the active temperature by about 15c and takes a while to cool back down.by DADIY - Fisher
In trying to setup one of these heat beds I found that the L parameter doesnt appear to have any affect. With the hot end reading 17 the bed reads 60 so I thought setting L to -40 would have the affect of making the bed temp read about 20c. M305 P0 T100000 B3950 L-40 H0 X0by DADIY - Fisher
