Oh I might add that the printer runs perfectly fine on my desktop PC running windows 7. I use it frequently with Printrun.by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Hello, I have a Surface Pro 2 tablet running windows 8.1 and I am trying to get repetier host to talk to my Prusa i3 with RAMPS 1.4 and Arduino MEGA 2560. The pc doesn't seem to recognize the printer on its usb port when i use repetier host, printrun nor arduino IDE. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks!by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Hi Josh, Could you ship lengths of Makerslide longer than a metre to New Zealand and how much would that cost? Thanks.by Rui.in.Roskill - For Sale
I have just tried installing the taurine driver but the arduino IDE 1.0.5 still don't seem to recognise the electronics (no option selectable from serial port pull down) Any other suggestions?by Rui.in.Roskill - General
What arduino drivers are you referring to? (If it recognises my huxley with sanguino, shouldn't it work?) And ok, wi try taurino drivers.by Rui.in.Roskill - General
I am using Ramps1.4 w/ arduino mega 2560 (from reprap discount) trying to install marlin firmware for my prusa i3 I cannot get it recognised on he arduino IDE serial port pull-down. My other huxley with sanguino 13a board works fine on the same port and can be recognised I am using: Arduino IDE 1.0.5, also tried 023 Any clues? Has this have anything to do with EEPROM or bootloader, as my rampby Rui.in.Roskill - General
Ok great. Will plug fans as planned. Thanks for be feedbacks.by Rui.in.Roskill - General
And ps, this image is the type of wiring I am referring to found on the reprap wiki.by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Right so to reiterate what has been said: The pins to the right (or above d2) are 12v auxilary pins, not d2 pins (as labeled on ramps), which from the image (earlier post), top pin positive and bottom pin negative. Cameron, you are suggesting that with or without firmware, when extruder fan is plugged onto the pins (red on top, black on bottom) fan should turn on as long as power is plugged in?by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Thanks for your help.by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Ok thanks. If I wire the extruder fan onto d2, would that keep it on when I plug the power on? I am yet to install firmware onto ramps, would this mean until I do so, no power would be allocated to the d2 pins, hence if i even plug the extruder in correctly, it would not turn on? I have attached an image, from this view is the top one positive and bottom one negative? Thanks againby Rui.in.Roskill - General
Hello I am almost finished with my prusa i3 build (graber) lasercut edition, with ramps 1.4 electronics and I have a quick question: Does the 12v extruder fan that is supposed to connect onto d2 12v aux pins have polarity? If so which way? The prusa i3 rework instructions in reprap wiki suggest to plug it into d2 but no indication of polarity Thanks in advance. Ruiby Rui.in.Roskill - General
Hi, I have just setup my reprappro Huxley and are currently experiencing some print troubleshooting. I have attached an image in this thread. The large one is he austere bunny from thingiverse and the square wall is the .5mm wall from the calibration instructions. I find that as he printer prints a few layers, it starts to offset itself thus printing slipped layers. I found that with the wallby Rui.in.Roskill - General
First up thanks "dust", your input has been incredibly. Valuable and I got all the parts. @lstu012 Hello again Logan, I was wondering if I could bring my reprappro Huxley into your mechatronics lab again to get it going? I have some delicate soldering to do on both a stepper motor driver and potentially soldering on a fet on the pcb, to which both I have no experience on doing. Is this somethby Rui.in.Roskill - New Zealand RepRap User Group
Hello Dust, I took the Machine to Logan's Lab yesterday and the diagnostic from Logan was that one of the hotend resistor wire had been plugged into the hot end thermistor plug, therefore shorted the CPU. Also the Resistor had been shorted (which is what you were saying in your last post) He rewired it and currently I get correct temperature readings from ponterface "T:19 @:0 B:16" from both thby Rui.in.Roskill - New Zealand RepRap User Group
@Dust Back. Hey thank heaps for your insight. I installed a new micro-chip and now the Y motor is fixed (so it was a short) + the heatbed is also measuring the right temperature on Ponterface but no response still in terms of heating. I might have blown something there. Currently the issues remains: 1. Extruder motor clicking and not moving regardless of extruder motor driver resistance tweaby Rui.in.Roskill - New Zealand RepRap User Group
Hi Logan, Its good to hear that there are users in Auckland. Your Lab is not far, when do you think it would be a good time to drop in? I'm on inter-semester break so I'm flexible. Thanks, Ruiby Rui.in.Roskill - New Zealand RepRap User Group
Alright man I'll give the above a go, will let you know how it goes. And with regards to possibly being endstop fault, the y motor moves in the same direction when I click both pronterface y axis buttons. Thanks for your help!by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Hey are any of you guys in Auckland or know any experienced reprap users in Auckland?by Rui.in.Roskill - General
Thanks for your reply and time man! 1, I suspect that it may be a dead PCB pin. I've given the swapping motor cables a go and the Y motor moves successfully in both directions while the X moves only in one direction in the Y slot (telling me that the Y motor is OK). I swapped the Stepper drivers around and still the same problem occurs; the Y motor only moving in one direction (after the motorby Rui.in.Roskill - General
Hello, I'm Rui and I'm an architecture student living in Auckland. I've recently assembled a reprappro Huxley built from the parts I bought from the reprappro website. I was pretty careful in following the instructions and double checking at each step. But I'm currently having a couple issues with the y motor going in the same direction, extruder motor whistling and not mOving, heat bed not reby Rui.in.Roskill - New Zealand RepRap User Group
Hello, Rui here from Auckland, New Zealand. I've recently put together a reprappro huxley which I bought the parts from the reprappro website. It came with the pre-soldered and supposedly pre-programmed Sanguinololu electronics board. I've wired it up correctly - i believe, installed the pronterface software (the pre-packed version, instead of the phython installations version from the githubby Rui.in.Roskill - General
