Yes the X axis smooth rods do need to be 20mm shorter for the V2. I used to make kits when I had time and just bought all my bolts from Blacks fastenings and threaded rod and my smooth rod from Tata steel in 6m lengths. The motors from Aliexpress will take a min 3-3.5 weeks to arrive though. I'm also a simple builder but I managed to make quite a few from scratch easy enoughby NelsonRap - New Zealand RepRap User Group

It fixes up any errors created in the model that might have inadvertently been drawn in. Solidworks created STL's have a tendency to need running through Netfabbby NelsonRap - Reprappers

I run all my solidworks created STL's through Netfabb but the standalone program I can't be fagged having to keep uploading them to the internet, But I use Skeinforge 40 the last one before it went to the Sfact versionby NelsonRap - New Zealand RepRap User Group

I have used Vik's ones from Diamond age and they work fine but on my Sells mendel I use the original brass insert version that goes with my Adrians extruder and its done 100's of hours with no slippingby NelsonRap - New Zealand RepRap User Group

I use bog standard 3mm picture frame glass because I had some. I clean it between each print with meths and heat it to 55-60c. Prints stick like hell and I have to leave it to cool before they come off, which is why I have 2 pieces and just swap themby NelsonRap - New Zealand RepRap User Group

I had this when I tried printing some Raspberry Pi cases, turns out my printer didn't like the recommended settings from the person who designed the cases, went back to my own settings which were not as fine and it printed perfectly. Another thing is to see what other electrical devices are on the same circuit. Even something like a fridge turning on and off can affect printsby NelsonRap - New Zealand RepRap User Group

Hmm not bad and I'm a joiner so should know. Looks good lets hope it goes good too. I have a Sells mendel and did build several Prusa's or should that be Prusi? I had some wheel bearing grease left over from fixing my car and used that, my Mendel was running 9 hours a day for about a year and even now there are no signs of any problemsby NelsonRap - General
