Thank you For all the help. Found I needed to upload FW version 2.0.6.X 2.0.5 does not have LASER_POWER_INLINE or LASER_MOVE_POWER (at least for what I could fine) 2.0.6 does everything works nowby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Hi All Marlin 2.0.5.3 I am trying to setup a laser on my corexy 3d printer. Laser GRBL can cut with no problem. Raster is another storey. Laser GRBL sends the M3 S0 at the start then just sends Snn after that. Is there a setting to allow marlin to remember the M3 for the Snn setting. Thank youby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
I wound up disabling toolchange fli swap. Didn't like the prime tower anyway. So I am using gcode in my extruder start and end for a bucket style. Uses a lot less plastic. If you all would like I will post the start end gcode when I get it working correctly 80% there. Thank you allby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Hi all Setup Re-Arm-Ramps 1.4 Marlin 2.0.5.3 CoreXY Hot End- Bigtreetech 2 in 1 #define TOOLCHANGE_ZRAISE 1 // (mm) - "does not lift 1 until tool change starts" //#define TOOLCHANGE_NO_RETURN // Never return to the previous position on tool-change //#define EVENT_GCODE_AFTER_TOOLCHANGE "G12X" // G-code to run after tool-change is complete #define TOOLCHANGE_FILAMENT_SWAPby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
E0 and E1 are moving at 32 step. Found the formula to calculate the starting extruder mm/ss came out to 203 for 32 step. Repetier Host lead screw calculator for Tr8x2 1.8 1/32 should be 3200 but it will only run correctly at 800 witch is 1/8. I will try replacing the jumpers with new ones. Thank you for the helpby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Checked all jumpers and all have there metal inserts. Tried a new DVR8825 in Z no difference checked all wires for correct wiring and damage all good. Tried removing all jumpers on E0 no difference with or without jumpers. I am lost and quit frustrated.by oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
My Z screws are Tr8 x 2 If I set Z steps to 800 and I move Z 10 it Moves 10mm If I set Z steps to 3200 and I move Z 10 it moves 40mm E0 and E1 direct drive If I set steps to 200 and move 10mm it moves 10mm If I set steps to 800 and move 10mm it moves 40mm According to ramps jumper settings for DRV8825 MS1 = 1 MS2 = 1 MS3 = 1 Also the setup is a CoreXYby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Setup Board: Re-Arm-Ramps 1.4 Firmware: Marlin 2.0.5.3 Stepper Drivers: DRV8825 on X Y Z E0 E1 The problem I am having is X and Y are running at 32 step But Z E0 and E1 are running at 8 Step Here are me Configuration.h and my Configuration_adv.h All jumpers are in place. stepper driver are set to DRV8825 in marlin. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank youby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
I know this are input only Pin's My question is on pull up and pull down. Is there a situation that you might use pull downs on this pins? Thank youby oldtimmer - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
I have 2 tested boards (Tested on a DIY 5W Laser Not tested on autopen or CNC) If someone has an autopen or 3 axis CNC and would like to test 1 of this boards let me know. Thank Youby oldtimmer - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hi all Well finally got the revised boards in. I guess this boards would be considered a shield for the (KeeYees ESP32 or equivalent). Bare board JLCPCB seems to do a nice job making pcb boards Still working with the reflow oven some components moved on me had to use the iron to reposition them. Burned my fingers putting the headers on but in the end it was worth it. After testing fby oldtimmer - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
What are your thoughts on using a full wave bridge as a protection circuit? That way you can use 12AC/DC + or - jacket.by oldtimmer - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Picture of version 1 of the board that I use on my DIY 5W Laser On this board I had to add wires and plug for the 12V for the Laser module. On the new board I added a 2 pin header (GND-12V) for the Laser module. I had to make an adapter to plug the Laser ttl to the board. On the new board I added a 2 pin header (GND-PWM) for the TTL. Sence I was not using any of the other I/O pins I figuredby oldtimmer - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hi All Been working on a board for the 38 pin (esp-wroom-32). The firmware I am using is GRBL_ESP32 I would like to know your option. Here is a picture of the board I have only set the endstop pins and the pwm pin left all other pins to be set as needed. Pins P34, P35, P36, P39 are inputs only I put pull up jumpers in for this 4 pins. What needs to be changed or added? Thank Youby oldtimmer - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
servo4 (d4 1.18) is 5v set (laser_module_pwm_pin 1.18) Connected ttl from laser module to servo4 and it works(yeha lol) Thank You all for the helpby oldtimmer - Controllers
My Laser has 3 pins Pin 1 - 12v Pin 2 - GND Pin 3 - TTL 0v - 5v 15kHz So I need to find a 5v PWMby oldtimmer - Controllers

Hi All it has been a while. I am building a 4W blue laser engraver I was using a Arduino Uno/CNC shield with GRBL firmware Worked ok but was not fast enough max power on Laser was 1 W any higher would burn to dark (max speed achieved was 5000 mm/m) (when engraving images) Been using Marlin firmware on 2 DIY 3D Printers for about 4 Years (Arduino Mega/Ramps 1.4 - Re-Arm/Ramps 1.4) New Control Bby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Back with an update. WiFi module is working grate. Get a hickup every once in a grate while but nothing that ruins the print. Have run 8 hour prints with out problems.by oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Well I tried AP Mode and worked flawlessly Left BLOCK_BUFFER_SIZE 32 and BUFSIZE 128 Repetier Host cache size 127 For some reason it just does not like my home Network (Did not like channel 2 on my Wifi changed it to Channel 4 works for now)by oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
When printing with Repetier Host using the serial port prints just fine. SD card prints just fine But when printing over WiFi / Repetier Host printing stutters and stops with errors. I have increased the BLOCK_BUFFER_SIZE from 16 to 32 and BUFSIZE from 4 to128 helped but still stutters on arcs. I have increased the receive cache size in Repetier Host Seems to be a buffer underrun. Increasingby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Someone that knows a lot more about the Re-arm board and Marlin would have to answer that for you. I am using this setup on my home brew CoreXY 12" x 12" x 12" full enclosure FDM 3D Printer 2 extruders heated Bed glass print bed irsencer for Z endstop for auto bed leveling(works really well)by oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
I gave up on the bluetooth It worked just fine until I set the wrong Baud rate (MY BAD) Network interface could not get it to work do not know enuf about programming marlin to make it work. So I grabbed a ESP-01 1 meg version(Black) WiFi module and followed the instructions at 3D Printing over WiFi And so far so good I connected the Aideepen ESP8266 Serial Wi-Fi Wireless ESP-01 Adapter to J4 Uby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Hats off to the Marlin team BlueTooth Does work just uncomment #define BLUETOOTH and set the #define BAUDRATE (to the baudrate of your Bluetooth Module) and comment out //#define SERIAL_PORT_2 -1 Now you may not need to comment out the second port but I did not test it. My BT Module is MKS BT ramps1.4 bluetooth wireless module (set to 115200 baud) on AUX1 I will start testing the Network intby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
Are there plan's to add network and telnet support in Marlin 2.0 I know Marlin supports Bluetooth on ramps 1.4 with the mega but don't know if the Bluetooth will work on the Re-armby oldtimmer - Firmware - Marlin
