I do not think the pots have anything to do with it since they control current and the current was enough presumably before and they are difficult accidentally to move. If you are worried attach your meter to ground and the other probe to a screwdriver (a metal one) and the reading I set on my clone was around 800 mv for Z and the extruder. 600 mv for the X and Y. I set the current higher for tby dant220 - Firmware - Marlin
The boards on that page only show 4 stepper drivers. So you can only define x-y-z like I have (yours would say a4988 though): #define X_DRIVER_TYPE TMC2208 #define Y_DRIVER_TYPE TMC2208 #define Z_DRIVER_TYPE TMC2208 #define E0_DRIVER_TYPE DRV8825 The two Z motors are driven off of 1 driver.by dant220 - Firmware - Marlin
I figured it out. Posting it here to help others. The issue was the pin for the Extruder was bad. I figured this out by creating 2 different compiles By editing values for "TEMP_SENSOR_0" and "TEMP_SENSOR_BEDTEMP_SENSOR_BED" where the extruder temp was set to be a dummy (998) and the bed was real (11) Where the Bed was a dummy (998) and the extruder (11) was real Option #1 did crash while optby dant220 - Firmware - Marlin
You can just use 2 splitters I guess. The current from one driver will be split 4 ways however. If the driver is supplying one amp each stepper will get 250 ma. I think you would be better off buying a more capable board with an extra stepper driver and splitting those.by dant220 - Firmware - Marlin
Shot in the dark. Could it be a function of vfat? Try formatting the card as fat32 or some such. I use octoprint so this is a guess.by dant220 - Firmware - Marlin
Hi All; I have been trying to fine tune settings on an SKR 1.3 running on a Wanhao I3. Recent version of Marlin (2.0.7.2). All was going well enough until I was printing a couple of layer print to test bed adhesion and Octoprint disconnected with Bed Temp error. From then on I could never connect again. Unless I turned the machine on and connected very quickly where I would get a message from thby dant220 - Firmware - Marlin
