What firmware are you using? ie something they provided, or latest from the internet To me it looks like the board type you selected simply doesn't have the lcd pins defined is the relevant pins.h eg from ramps.h #define DOGLCD_A0 44 #define DOGLCD_CS 45 But in pins_MEGATRONICS_3.h these are not defined. no idea on what pin out you need though.by Dust - Firmware - Marlin
what amplifier board are you using, and what pins from the amplifier board are you putting on those ramps pins. If you have a lot of other crap on your ramps (lcd, servos) remove those for now as you may simply be over loading the 5v rail.by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
this is very strange... no idea whats causing it, but suspect some sort of gnd issue between 12v and 5v gnd lines. (as motfets control gnd lines) This shouldn’t be needed but... You could try a optoisolator to a free io pin eg just use 5v on the HV side, then drive a external mosfet board with that Then just update your firmware so the hot end is on the new IO pin.by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
Greywolf seems very confused... If they start with //#define they are disabled if they start with #define they are enabled define on its own will just stop it compiling.by Dust - Firmware - Marlin
At a guess you have configured the motherboard type incorrectly in firmware, so it is looking at the wrong pinsby Dust - Developers
Probably: PLA from china Electronics from china Firmware from all over the planet. What exactly was made in America? Or is this another alternative fact? Assembled in America might be more accurate, and nothing to be proud of! Now onto the printer. Im a PLA user, but im well aware of its lacking in heat resistance.. becoming pliable at 60c You have your heated bed, which will run from 50-10by Dust - Look what I made!
The GNDs on the ramps power plugs are joined.. you would have to be tiring to separate themby Dust - RAMPS Electronics
On a ramps the headed bed is on the 11amp rail. It is the only thing on the 11amp rail. Thus putting 24volt in the 11amp (and making the fuse change) and putting 12v into the 5amp works fine. As long as your converter can really handle the 5amps at 12v. It should work fine.by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
Max feeds rate is probably to high. This is a common issue, has to move slow Find /** * Default Max Feed Rate (mm/s) * Override with M203 * X, Y, Z, E0 [, E1[, E2[, E3]]] */ #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE { 300, 300, 5, 25 } change to #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE { 300, 300, 3, 25 } recompile and upload Once your connected again check it changed wby Dust - General Mendel Topics
This is normally lack of micro stepping jumpers Under each pololu module is pins for 3 jumpers. All 3 should have jumpers on them to enable 1/16th micro steppingby Dust - General Mendel Topics
Depending on the board, power from USB is often ignored. It generates it own from the supply.by Dust - Firmware - Marlin
On the kickstater they mention "Custom Shields for the Re-ARM" though I haven't seen any further mention of thisby Dust - Controllers
not to mention Azteeg X5 GT and Azteeg X5 mini, granted they are all related to the Azteeg X5. But if you can mention the 3 Duet variants, we can list these variants.by Dust - General
make sure your hotend and your hotend thermistors are in the correct place on the controller, and aren’t shorting to each other manually try just turning on the hot end, does it reboot every time (eg send the printer a M104 S190) It could just be your power supply is to weak.. heated bed is fine, but heated bed + hotend it to much and browns out the controller.by Dust - Firmware - Marlin
I3 is more of a general shape and axis configuration than anything else. They have different mechanics, different endstop configurations, different thermistors or even thermocouples, and different extrudes. The likely hood of finding a firmware that will just work on your machine is slim "it totaly stock" is really not possible Read threw the configuration.h its mostly self documenting.by Dust - General Mendel Topics
Quotenebbian Does RepRap Firmware work on a Re-Arm? No, but that wont stop dc42 from his self promotion of his firmware on every single post. From what I understand of if his firmware, it probably could be ported. Just needs a new abstraction layerby Dust - General
I am also considering putting a diamond head on a hypercube. With all the extruders just on the top back tslot. The main issue is that this printer is largely built in place. It not meant to have the E3D mount removed form the x carriage. You have to disassemble it. (blower fan and fan ducts cover mounting screw heads.) I will be looking at updating mine to use hex head bolts, held in placeby Dust - Reprappers
Mine is trapped in customs! almost here. But some discussions on the board are in these forums. a few things I have seen of note: 1) its has no status leds, unlike actual smoothie boards but these can easily be added see 2) is only supports the lcd mentioned. (im sure this will be extended in time) but for now 20x4 char lcds are not directly supported, also the mks tft28 is not supporby Dust - General

marlin configuration.h /** * Select which serial port on the board will be used for communication with the host. * This allows the connection of wireless adapters (for instance) to non-default port pins. * Serial port 0 is always used by the Arduino bootloader regardless of this setting. * * :[0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7] */ #define SERIAL_PORT 0 Seriously did you even try and look?...by Dust - Firmware - Marlin
sounds like you have done everything you can... its a dead screen. return to seller.by Dust - Controllers
See Then all you need to do is change the serial port in your firmware. NB to upload new firmware you will still need to use serial0, unless you also update the boot loader code. NB you do know you can get at TX0/RX0 on a ramps, bypassing the usb to serial converters? see AUX-1 port, D0/D1 is the same pins as RX0/TX0 This is how tft28 boards talk to ramps.by Dust - Firmware - Marlin
because arduino moved away from using WProgram.h in about version 1.0 You have to go into the .h and .cpp files and change any references from "WProgram.h" to Arduino.h But that is only the first step.. who know what else has been changed in the 5 years since anyone used that. Do yourself a favour and upgrade to marlin, which superseded sprinter a long time ago.by Dust - Firmware - mainstream and related support
ramps must be set to serial 0 in firmware (you may have moved it, for say a bluetooth setup) Find out what your serial is actually set to, don’t guess. (and you may have set it to something non tft28 compatible) Don't have the usb cable connected to the ramps, its the same serial port the tft28 uses.by Dust - Controllers

Define shorted out? Connected +12v to Gnd? If so power supply would have been very unhappy and would have shut off. If it has short circuit protection leaving it off for a while then turn it back on, everything should be fine. If there was no protection the power supply may be fried, new power supply time.by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
