Hi, I am trying rectangular grid leveling but when I send G32, it stops after homing the axes and returns "Limit switch -X was hit ..." error message. This is the output: Send: N103 G31*25 Recv: Rectangular Grid Probe... (Here it starts with homing XYZ axes. After that, hotend goes up a little bit. Then it moves back to X- Y- direction until it hits the endstop) Recv: Limit switch -X was hitby trgtylcnky - Smoothie

Hi, I am using Marlin 1.1.8 Heating is just fine when the printer is idle and I tuned the PID parameters. I also tried extruding a quite amount of plastic and temperature dropped just 4 C before increasing back to the target. However, as soon as I start printing, nozzle is cooling and it cannot restore the temperature back. It goes back to normal when I paused. Can you guess what is the problem?by trgtylcnky - Firmware - Marlin
Yes, Octoprint is sending gcodes via usb. I know it is not optimal for Duet but I choose to use it to use my Raspberry Pi and touch screen, webcam stream, and some other features. I also think the pause issue shouldn't have anything with the board but my other boards are running ok. Also, I am using a very old version firmware (1.09b-dc42-t3p3-axis-switch (2015-06-22)), maybe it is why I am not gby trgtylcnky - Duet
Hi, I started using OctoPrint with Duet but I am having some problems. 1. M114 command doesn't give E distance. There are E0-E5 values but they are all 0. 2. Pause GCode script is not executed when I paused from OctoPrint interface. Are there anyone used Duet + OctoPrint?by trgtylcnky - Duet
Hi, I am getting some periodic patterns on mu outer shell. I think it is about extrusion because its phase changes although period doesn't by layers. It is like over-extruding every X millimeter of filament. Here is a picture: Any ideas?by trgtylcnky - Printing
Hi, I came across this machine: It has 110 x 110 mm working area and 0.01 mm resolution. I am thinking about building SLS machine based on this. OpenSLS is based on a CO2 laser cutter. I think this fiber laser engraver would be better on many things; cooling, speed, footprint etc...by trgtylcnky - Powder Printing and Selective Laser Sintering
Thanks for support. At first, none of these files worked. But later I saw some messages when I am not looking for it. Duet control panel was opened different computers and they showed different messages (like one showed tfree but other tpre) It might be working but I think not reliable. I will use the command you say, it will be enough for me now.by trgtylcnky - Duet
Hello, I am using multiple extruders which have different steps/mm rates. To handle this, I though to add M92 E___ in tpre#.g file for each extruder. But It seems the firmware does not care these file at all. To check this I added M117 commands in each file but they did not show any message (although M117 in config.g file show the message). Where am I doing wrong? Thanksby trgtylcnky - Duet
Hello, I have RepRapDiscount Smart Controller display and I want to make it touch controlled. I have capacitive touch sensor board: The problem is, display board have encoder wheel, not buttons to navigate menu. If I could change the Marlin to use the inputs like up-down buttons it would be great. Are there any options for that? Thanksby trgtylcnky - RAMPS Electronics
Hi, I am using RepRapPro Duet 0.8.5 on my custom printer. I am using Pronterface. When I want to calibrate extruder by "Extrude" button on interface, It said no tool selected. I send T0 command and M302 P0 commands. Now It says "Extruding 1 mm of filament" but nothing happens. Moreover, when I set the hotend temperature to 240, nothing happens. "E0 Heat" led does not light. I think something is wby trgtylcnky - Controllers
I don't know how to enable/disable eeprom on code. I just download the current firmware code and change these configurations. I think this is the problem. Thank you.by trgtylcnky - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi, I am using Melzi board and Marlin firmware to control my 3D printer. Although I change the value in Configuration.h, upload to board, it does not make any difference. I checked again and again if I am changing the right value (I mean under the #ifdef REPRAPPRO_MENDEL2 and uncommented #define REPRAPPRO_MENDEL2) and it does not seem to be wrong. Can you guess where the problem is?by trgtylcnky - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I have nema23 (Minebea 23LMC355P6V) stepper motors bought from scrap. Motors have pulley with 20 teeth, approximately 3 mm pitch and 9 mm width. What kind of belt can fit them?by trgtylcnky - Mechanics
Hello, As I know, filament is being retracted in order to prevent bridges. But as I see, it is not enough because printhead touches the object and deforms it. Some printers like Stratasys' does not only retract but also move printhead up a little then carry it on air, then move down again. How can is this possible on RepRap? Sorry if this was said before, I did not find anything. And sorry forby trgtylcnky - General
Sorry i could not explain but filament extruder is like that: He says his machine uses pellets so it should be a lyman extruder like thatby trgtylcnky - General
I think James does not mean "3d printer extruder" by extruder, "filament extruder" he want to slow down. I don't think anyone can help because they don't know about your extruder, what kind of motor it has, is there any controller.by trgtylcnky - General
In this post, there is an interesting project: And this is the video: I think it is possible to build limitless at one dimension with that kind of design. Robot can build some part of layer then walk, then build, then walk... so it can build very long objects. I cannot actually build this robot but someone might want.by trgtylcnky - General
