Very interesting delta Not sure why I'd need such speed, but it's impressive.by pkm - Delta Machines
Well, that was obviously my lack of attention. I saw the last file "...1.13beta1.bin" but did not see the previous file "...1.13.bin". Looked on top and saw "DuetWiFi...1.13.bin". Somehow I thought that you switched to the new name since DuetWiFi released. Flashed the correct firmware already, OK for now. Can I change the default feed amount and rate for extruder control?by pkm - Duet
Great, thanks! Just downloaded and installed it. I had to rename the file to RepRapFirmware-1.13.bin for the web-interface to recognize it as a firmware. Uh-oh. I installed DuetWifi firmware to 0.8.5. Now it doesn't work, need to remember how to use bossac....by pkm - Duet
Quotedc42 Stopping the print and continuing the next day is easier. You would press the Pause button on the web interface or PanelDue, and we would provide an extra option to create a restore file on the SD card. We would need to save not only the head position when it was paused but also the file path, file position, current feed rate, fan speed, tool selected, temperatures, bed compensation orby pkm - Duet
Quotedc42 I've given this some thought. It's possible to do, however, you need a UPS or SLA backup battery to do it propely. When a power failure occurs, you need enough power left to move the head away from the print, retract a little filament, and then run the hot end fan for long enough to prevent the filament melting and then solidifying in the top of the heat break. David, Chris, I see that "resume after power failure" is getting popular for upper class 3D printers. How does it work? Is it very hard to implement to RRF?by pkm - Duet
Quotechrishamm Hmm, I guess I could replace "last layer time" on the print page with the current feedrate in my next version. Simulating big files takes a while, but it will give you the most accurate print time estimation. That would be great! Last layer is on the graph anyway. BTW the layer time is wrong in vase mode, is there a simple way to correct it? Probably read the layer height from theby pkm - Duet
Is it too cumbersome to show current F value? Simulation support would be great! But for long files it must take a lot of time, right?by pkm - Duet
1.10+4-dc42 seems to work, thanks! Sure, IE11 is not nesessary... I wonder if anyone here is using it at all. As they say, IE is a software that lets you install Chromeby pkm - Duet
Probably Safari. IE11 doesn't save changes and doesn't suggest to reset. But from Chrome it saves and resets.by pkm - Duet
The firmware seems to work, thanks a lot! Now IE11 loads DWC very fast on the troublesome PC too, and there's a delay in Chrome (on any PC). I can use Wireshark with Chrome, if you're willing to look at it.by pkm - Duet
Great that I could help. I'll try the firmware tomorrow, thanks! BTW, what is the difference between your version and David's?by pkm - Duet
@chrishamm Sorry there was some USB log in Pronterface window. Probably not complete but it shows some errorsby pkm - Duet
@chrishamm Here's the Wireshark log. It ends when I press Stop in IE11, because the page doesn't load any more. I start Wireshark on a PC with 2 interfaces, 192.168.100.1 (sharing the internet from another interface) is connected to WAN port of a router (192.168.100.121), the printer is 192.168.0.121 on the router's LAN, and it's port 80 forwarded to the router (192.168.100.121). I understand tby pkm - Duet
@chrishamm From a PC in the same segment with the printer everything works OK. IE11 loads the web-interface really fast, but there's a few seconds delay in Chrome. I closed the browsers and opened them a few times... no problems. From another PC where the printer IP is forwarded it gets weird. When I open the web-interface in IE11 and it loads, but doesn't connect, and after that it's completelby pkm - Duet
Quotechrishamm Hmm, I'm sorry but I have not been able to reproduce this problem on my own setup. Could you do the following: ................ I hope that will give me a better idea why it's happening. I'll probably do that tomorrow. I haven't tried your firmware, but 1.09x corrected the problem, and then 1.10-dc42 broke it again. I also noticed that the web interface works somewhat better inby pkm - Duet
Quoteasbo I'm getting a couple of problems with the web interface; the majority of the time it sort of half loads and sits there forever trying to load. If I reboot the duet it will then sometimes load but when I upload some gcode I'm presented with an AJAX error seen here: Same problem here, unfortunately. Updated to 1.10 and DWC 1.11 It barely loads once after power-up but doesn't connect and dby pkm - Duet

Thanks for your reply, David. The case lights should draw ~1.5A according to the LED specs. I bought this MOSFET board a while ago, it's the most sold kind from ebay... and 5V opens the gate enough. I'm also surprised with that 1K resistor... what I can try is installing it in series with the gate instead of connecting to ground. I found another MOSFET board it looks better. Hi, I'm trying to control a case light via output pin on Duet 0.8.5. First I found that 0.8.5 has different pin numbering as compared to 0.6. So is partially wrong. I.e. M42 P16 still controls TXD1, but TXD1 is actually pin #11 on 0.8.5 and so on. The problem is 3.3V outputs can not open the MOSFET enough. The module is similar to , the schematics is Is there any way to get it working? Thanby pkm - Controllers
The difference is 0.13mm for now, not so bad for 500mm bed... but it could be better. I think more points could improve the accuracy. Averaging of errors etc, exactly as you say. Also I'd like to check the actual error in points different from those used for calibration. It's not so much about time, it's about fun.by pkm - Delta Machines
hercek Thanks a lot for your help! I'll try to figure out how to use your info and your script. First I need to find a way to log probing data in RepRapFirmware. I could also make some tests on my 200mm bed printer (RAMPS/Repetier), but this is mostly nesessary for the large delta. My current results when I replaced Buidtak glass with a clear glass Bed probe heights: 0.030 -0.065 -0.023 0.005 0by pkm - Delta Machines
Thanks for the valuable input! hercek That was UTF as you said! Later I found the edited calibration sheet on the forum, it works and I'll take a better look at it I guess that you get actuators values for each point from marlin somehow. But what if I would like to use an IR sensor or just a gauge for measuring, then I should enable reverse kinematics in the calibration sheet, right? Or I can geby pkm - Delta Machines

Hello, I've built a 500mm bed delta. Duet 0.8.5 with dc42 firmware 1.09j, dc42's IR probe, buildtak bed. And I can't get a good auto-calibration. The probing results are something like -0.4 +0.4 -0.4 +0.4 -0.35 +0.35 on the larger hexagon and like -0.1 -0.1 0.1 on the smaller triangle. I.e. a distinctive wave. Mean value 0.35 or so. I thought about different surface properties, buildtak is a bby pkm - Delta Machines
Thanks! I'll try that. A simple 2004 display would be enough for me... PanelDue is too expensive unfortunately.by pkm - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Thanks! I'm afraid I'll have a chance to update just when the next version appears. Using j now, no major problems. BTW yesterday after the web interface was inactive for a couple of hours of printing, the PC went to sleep, I turned it on and tried to reload the web interface or switch to another page... that effort paused printing for a moment and left a blob. How do I avoid it in the future?by pkm - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi David, Are you going to release the next version anytime soon? Just thinking whether I should update to 1.09k or wait a bit for the next one.by pkm - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Koenig I mean changing the points in bed.g file. Put them in a square vertices instead of a triangle/hexagon etc. That might improve the calibration. Or not. Still worth trying.by pkm - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Koenig I agree with David here. Angular positions + delta radius + origin shift is identical to tower offsets + delta radius. But nevertheless you don't get the result. I would try another set of calibration points, different number of points etc.by pkm - Firmware - mainstream and related support
