Only 82, but sometimes feel like 90. Anyway, good luck to you. Bye.by HAJM - Printing
Yes, but things are a lot better than they used to be. The first computer I worked on used valves/vacuum tubes and relays and needed a special air-conditioned room and a resident engineer on site, as the mean time between failures was less than a day. The stabilised power supply was about 8 feet high and 30 foot long and still could not cope with the drop in supply voltage around 7:30 am, when eby HAJM - Printing
I think it was a faulty power booster board for my heated bed, that I fitted to take the strain of a big current from my main board. Anyway, I replaced it and the heated bed seems to be working now. i also fitted an attachment to hold in place the connector on the heated bed, as it would occasionally pull loose. Although the attachment does prevent the connector pulling completely loose, it doesby HAJM - Printing
I want to replace the standard 16-bit Anet A6 control board with a 32-bit board with extra flash memory, so that I can use Marlin 2.x. I would like a board that is plug compatible with the standard board, so I don't have to make up different connectors. I would also want a board that included the hardware drivers for the stepper motors. A bonus would be that it didn't need a power booster for thby HAJM - Tech-Talk
Thanks for that suggestion. I will check if that could be my problem.by HAJM - Printing
Thanks for your advice. However, I think my problem probably is caused by a hardware problem, either in the controller, thermistor or wiring. I probably need to replace some or all of these. I posted my query in the hope of getting some advice on testing which of these parts is causing the problem, so that I don't replace something that is working ok. Thanks again, anyway.by HAJM - Printing
After a couple of years use, my Anet A6 printer has started giving MIN BED TEMP errors, sometimes immediately the print tries to start, but also, more seriously, in the middle of a print, as today after printing for about 2 hours. I initially thought that this was because the connector to the bed heater and thermistor was moving slightly as the bed moved, but I have installed a clamp and chain tby HAJM - Printing
Thanks. I see what you mean and could do this, but a problem would be that it would only work properly for one material. When Cura inserts the extra commands it uses the temperature settings for the currently selected material, but there is no way to do that in the gcode start text. One solution would be to alter the ChangeAtZ script in the Cura package to make it insert a G4 S5 command as theby HAJM - Firmware - Marlin
To show what I have at the moment, I have attached a file containing the initial lines of the gcode file produced by Cura for one of my prints. It includes the "G4 S5" command at the start of the Cure Start Code section.by HAJM - Firmware - Marlin
I have put this command (modified to G4 P5000) in code.start as the first command, before the command to heat the bed, but it makes no difference; the "Bed heating" message still appears immediately - no 5 seconds delay. I am using Cura 4.2.1 as my slicer and it puts several commands before the code.start commands. Perhaps this is the reason the filename disappears, but anyway the G4 command doesby HAJM - Firmware - Marlin
How can I modify Marlin1.1.9 so that when I select a file to print from the LCD screen, the file name is displayed for a short time before the "Bed heating" message appears. At the moment, the chosen file name doesn't appear until the bed and extruder heating is finished. The reason I want to do this is that often when I click the LCD, the knob turns slightly and I select the wrong file name, whiby HAJM - Firmware - Marlin
My Anet A6 suddenly stopped extruding enough filament after a period when there had been a lot of clicking from the stepper. I am reasonably sure the nozzle is not blocked and that the gear wheel on the stepper is correctly engaging with the filament, and I have tried it with two different control boards. I have measured the amount of filament extruded when I do a manual extrude and it is much leby HAJM - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Has anyone got auto bed levelling working on an Anet A6 printer using Marlin1.1.9? If so, could they post me a copy of their Configuration.h file and also the Configuration_adv.h file if they have changed that from the default. (I'm using Ralf_E's fork of Marlin1.1.9.) Also any other information that might be useful to me. Finally ,same questions for Marlin2.x.by HAJM - Printing
Thanks for your reply. I am using the GitHub definition you mention. I did remove the arduino15 directory, and pretty well everything else that referred to the Arduino and Marlin, before starting again. I didn't post my errors because I get different collections of errors depending on whether I compile on the old or new setup, on whether I compile with the Anet V1.0 or Anet V1.0 sanguine boardby HAJM - Firmware - Marlin
I am trying to compile Marlin 1.1.9 for the Anet A6 using the Arduino IDE and am having multiple errors. I put a hardware definition for the Anet in the Arduino/hardware directory, added a zip library for U8glib and replaced the default configuration.h and configuration-adv.h by the ones in the examples/Anet/A6 directory of the Marlin package.
