reifsnyderb just wondering if there a picture of the Jhead Mk12 yetby jinx - General
see the tab for machine in cura ? click that you see MACHINE SETTING see an option for Gcode flavor,,,,, select RepRap(Marlin/sprinter) little luck that will do it!.by jinx - General
some bend in it, but how the Andornot print surface cope with itby jinx - General
QuoteTrakyan Is the large black gear aluminium or just the body? still plastic. the rest is all metal. A little grease on the motor shaft where the idler sits want hurt things.by jinx - General
with respect Amazon is not the cheapest source! Ali store and users be buying directly from makerbase.by jinx - Controllers
which thermistor been selected in F/ware.by jinx - General
when you test the extruder do you heat up the hotend, there a fail safe which prevents the extruder from turning when the temp below 170C, there also a Mcode to allow for cold extrusion you need to send first "cant remember it off hand".by jinx - Controllers
here my choice for a budget build first the board a mks gen l v1 bed control mks fet board and a controller mks tft 24 thou for a controller a better option for first time builder could be the reprap full graphics smart controller, as it gives you access to all the motion setting which helps to fine tune the printerby jinx - General
"Yes. Now tell me how do I increase the current of the driver" Now read thisby jinx - Reprappers
like that brass work,, but whats the stubby piece next to the threadingby jinx - General
will the Mk12 have the grub screws holding the heat break into the heat sink ( think that a nice feature to bring in from the hexagon). NO heat break! kind of hoping to see a chimera style break in the designby jinx - General
BUT,BUT that pic doesn't look like the heat block in the vid? ( appears more like the volcano in the vid )by jinx - General
you enabled it in firmware? line 1491 in the marlin config.h file // RepRapDiscount FULL GRAPHIC Smart Controller // // #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLERby jinx - General
Quote I wonder if that would produce some uneven extrusion that would be visible if it were on an outer perimeter such an unfair test to start with,, coming to the end of the spool with thecoil that comes with it. didnt appear to loose any traction, though I think it just might if it rolled the other wayby jinx - General
say there less room in the fila guide ,,, the plastic style has a cone like entry , where the metal more tubular, filament loading/changing been a real smooth transition between the sections. over all its well made ,metal work just fine good fit between the front panel and body. large gear could have been better,,, looks as if its slight deform while being pressed on to the hob shaft or somby jinx - General
Quoteo_lampe Maybe the leadscrew is supported from the bottom, too? maybes for a monday! shocker on reprap.... not even then with that coupling, it would have to be constrained so much it defeats purpose of choosing that type in the first place . mee thinks and goes gets a coffeeby jinx - General
do you think its wise to mount the Z axis stepper at the top of the machine/frame with a springy coupling.by jinx - General
QuoteWho sells a metal Titan? another ali offering SWmaker producing them i think, but I got one of this seller I swapped out the bowden adapter from a plastic kit thou.by jinx - General
Quotetrakyan I don't think it was always a chinese product, I think one of the old reprap based companies started it up and then lulzbot adopted it. I thought the hexagon was a US creation (early developments) then adopted by the EU and the RepRap.me friendly crowd. china mashed it! just wish it was sorter. think the metal titan compliments it for a complete HE/extruder set up for under £50by jinx - General
I have experienced this early last year, believe the issue for me was somewhere between the slicer "in my case slic3r" and ejecting the SD card from the PC. when viewing the gcode came across a few corrupted lines too massive section of gibberish with in the gcode file. I can rule out " 1) The end stop switch wires are too close to the motor wires".... endstop and motor wire share the saby jinx - Reprappers
its a mash up of a design from the hexagon, " dimensions are larger", V6 "block" and the chimera heatbreak,, it preformed well so far for it budget price, but longer than a V6 the heater block burn off! stinks,, had me looking for a electrical meltdown kind of smell, but all was fine. took about 12 hours to go from black to light brown printing pla.. overall cant complain about the metal woby jinx - General
hi, when you say "my hot end is a J-Head from (China)" is it made from metal or peek? Chinese seller have a habit calling an all metal e3d copy a Jhead and 260C at the upper limits for either as its possible there be a ptfe liner inside, ptfe deteriorate/deform above 260C, so ideally 245C should be Max temp.by jinx - General Mendel Topics
hi, which hotend you have? you selected the right thermistor in the firmware... configured the Esteps correctly, and run m303 PID Tuning heat the hotend to 200C ,can you easily push filament through the hotend,by jinx - General
thanks srek. plate #2 kept two tabs inside the bed perimeter.by jinx - General
Quotesrek I don't have any tabs or handles on my setup, a 1mm overlap of the steelsheet is enough to get it off. wondering if there a difference in strength between your sheet and andornot.by jinx - General
Quotekattz Need a 400 X 400 X 400mm workspace for that one. you come across the Vulcanus Max 40 yet.by jinx - CoreXY Machines
hi all the best with your first build, but E3D dont produce the diamond HE its made by RepRap Me like your choice of boards with the rumba you seen the one made by makerbase like the fact its got the header for there touch screens.by jinx - CoreXY Machines
lost the will!!!by jinx - Reprappers
here's my design for a plate,,,, just hope those tabs are enough to get the plate offby jinx - General
Quotewould it work out of the box or is there more to it no you gonna need to configure and upload the firmware,,,, am no fan of those red RAMPS board, a good alternative for the price is a mks Gen l you still gonna need to get stepper drivers.by jinx - General
